@@santokki5251 I agree! Whatever language she’s speaking she sounds so sweet! Recently when she spoke in Kelly Clarkson interview, Kelly also said her voice is so cute ❤
I'm actually from Taiwan too and I feel like her country is just really proud of her for accomplishing so much over the years. And the Chinese she was talking, I understood her and she speaks very fluently!!
@@iix97don't you know that China (and Taiwan) have more than 1 official language? Different dialects? That's why the person comment that the "Chinese" She's speaking is fluent
Look at her eyes after the flag incident, Twice got their first win after that incident and you can see Tzuyu was still looking pretty sad and Once start screaming Tzuyu to support her no matter what❤❤❤
I came here to listen to Tzuyu speaking Chinese, but Jeongyeon’s surprised and happy face at the first scene somehow made me cry😂 Also, Tzuyu’s comments seem thoughtful and sounds so sweet
3:31 We're still inexperienced, but i believe it's thanks to the hard work of so many people who work behind scenes that we were able to receive such a big award. We will keep working hard, so please continue supporting us! Thank you so much! I'm japanese, so i tried to translate into Japanese. There may be mistakes.
Absolutely no one else in TWICE can understand Tzuyu when she speaks Chinese, 😂😂 if one of the ppl in the Japanese line spoke Japanese, two of them can understand. Tzuyu is the only one in TWICE who can speak and understand Chinese (I think).
I speak Chinese but I suck at translating but I’ll try(Super late lol) 3:51 At here, once again, thank you for all the onces for always giving us the strength to move forward.Thank you for your support and this big award.Afterwards,we will be more hard working and become the best singers.

@@allisonhuang3020 I don't think her Taiwanese accent is particularly strong but she does sound generally like a 'southerner' as compared to northern 'Beijing' style Mandarin.
@@Zz7722zZ She's also from Tainan where Hokkien is still dominant. It's likely she speaks both it and obviously Mandarin but generally communicates in Mandarin (with a Taiwanese accent) because it's more common.
Which Chinese is she speaking? Is it the Mandarin spoken in mainlanders China or the Taiwanese mandarin spoken in Taiwan? Also it can’t possibly be the Cantonese Chinese people speak in Hong Kong or Macau-
also taiwanese has a spoken language, they have no words or alphabet with the taiwanese words so yea u cant write or read taiwanese there are like 302 chinese languages but cantonese and mandarin are by far the most well known and spoken and shes speaking mandarin the way that taiwanese natives speak it so it sounds a bit different from the way people from northern china would speak it or something also there are different dialects in mainland china, mostly from like eastern, western, northern, southern, etc so yea
@@persephone0_010 There are so many different Chinese languages or dialects, not just Mandarin or Cantonese. Tzuyu herself is from Tainan and probably speaks Taiwanese too, which is a subset of the Hokkien or Fujian dialect/language. Official written Chinese itself is based on Mandarin but is understood by all Chinese peoples; there are however some colloquial versions of written Chinese (like Cantonese) that differ from official written Chinese.
@@persephone0_010 first they’re are many different dialects of Chinese. Mandarin, Cantonese, and others too. I myself speak 5 different dialects so it’s not an “either” choice. They’re are probably over 100 different dialects of Chinese.
she speaks Mandarin but with a really heavy Taiwanese accent... that being said she's probably more fluent in Taiwanese seeing that she's from the South of Taiwan
@@ninjapirate123 she became the trainee of her agency company and learned korean before debut. Not only Tzuyu, all foreigner kpop idols have to learn Korean before debut.
Just because she stutters doesn’t mean she forgot some of her Chinese. She probably just hasn’t used it in a while so she’s not as confident speaking it.
