My mom and I were outside of the gate to the show out in a patch of grass watching this. It ended up being better than inside because they would fly quite literally straight over us. Every time it sped up, car alarms sounded. Bone rattling, raw sound. The way it hovers around is delightfully horrifying. I'm glad I was there for this exact show, I'll remember it forever.
Now that is so Cool :). My daddy worked on the F18s as a young Electrical engineer in the Airforce in the late 50's and early 60s and I also have some slides from the Turino Airforce base when I was born 60 yrs ago when his company then he as a civilian w Litton electronics had a NATO contract w Fiat. :)❤️❤️ this is soo so cool. I miss him today so very much and this so awesome to see our troops here. Thank you US Airforce for your service and to those in these planes and ground crew support we Salute you today.
I'm guessing for a lot of airshow display flights, this is just generally common practice? Raw sound is always cool , but I guess there's a perceived need to fill "dead air" when the aircraft isn't directly within earshot?
