Pararescuemen (known as PJ's) are operators of the United States Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and Air Combat Command (ACC) that are tasked with recovery and medical treatment of soldiers and civilians in humanitarian and combat environments. The PJ's motto is "That Others May Live".

Nothing but love and respect for you boys my whole life! I was injured and did not complete balls 8 of 98 but was able to learn and carry with me a load of life lessons ive carried with me and passed on to others! Thank you for your service PJ's!

I remember being in the PJ's back in 1967, I remember going in combat trying to save one of our pilots, I ran into a huge spider web screaming. The pilot was not really laughing because he was dying. Anyways, I also remember crashing in one of our helicopters, "The Jolly Green Giant" ended up getting saved by one of our backup helicopters which was a HEUY. I also got shot three times, I got, and still have a little piece of shrapnel in my teeth. When I came back from the war, having PTSD I was helping one of my buddies who lost his and was in a wheel chair, we were getting spat on, being called "Baby Killers", and stuff thrown at us. I couldn't stand the hate and depression that I went back to the Vietnam war as a Nurse in the backlines in 1971.

I respect the hell out of PJs. I was a combat medic when enlisted (decades ago) but never a PJ. They do amazing things but this video is about how they get to work, not what they do! Sorry! That Others May Live!!!

Starting emt in 3 days then paramedic end goal is pararescue been my goal for a while if I follow anything through it will definitely be this.

I don't want to tell you how to live your life; and you know whats best for you, but get that EMT and get on an ALS ambulance to learn the most you can about emergency medicine. Then decide, if spending 1year 1/2 for your P-Card is worth it or if enlisting is better. I reccomend getting EMT and enlisting. Above all else, take your time. It's easier to learn new habits than to unlearn bad habits and be a bad medic.

Does anybody would want to share their experiences working with the PJs and tell what was it like? I'm curious to know because I like the mission sets of PJ.
