Guys I left out a major part of the orientation... The backing test.. You will do..alley dock..45 degree back.. And straight back.. Plus a road test.. This video was not scripted like I normally do so I forgot all about these. They are strict as well. You have to actually be good at backing to pass the test.
When you're making $$ in trucking these days, I'm sure you don't have much time to reply to comments! I could post videos from my dash cam, but, when I shut down for the day, I'm done, I call home, grab a bite, then hit the sack! I will say this...US Express seems to have the best drivers out of all of the "mega carriers". My sis and I own 5 tractors all leased to a small company so we know what's up. We both agree that no matter if it's a company driver, lease operator or independent contractor, you guys n girls are all very professional and courteous. Be safe n make $$ bro!
That's a waste of the company's resources to fly someone in from wherever they may be, put them up in the hotel only to disqualify them on day 2 or 3 and have to send them back to where they came from

I was there about 4 years ago 2015. as an otr driver, I was surprised to hear about pushing 120 lbs? Or walking with 70 lbs 53 ft 3x. It sounds like you were placed on the dollar general account if they still have that Idk. anyway, I guess I will be going to the gym to practice my push and pull strength. I do remember the duck squat and a crate of chains to carry but I was inside a barn lol I guess they leveled up lol anyway, after all the BS is said and done I still have nothing but good things to say about this company. I was the supervisor for the Huntsville location, I left due to not getting along with the terminal manager. She asked me to do something that I didn't think was fair to another driver so I told her no and to fire me if she wanted to. That's why I left. But the company in itself is a good local company.
If you don't mind me asking what was it she asked you to do . My terminal is in Indiana. $1,200.00 Is ok but after so long it's starts to reach a plateau . I'm looking for something about $1,500 - $2,000.00/WEEK
xWetWilliex xWetWilliex I cannot believe these young inexperienced Drivers buy into USXs BS. I guess they will buy into anything if they are really wanting to get into the Industry. USX has most of these inexperienced Drivers so fooled. The way this Company treats Drivers is not right and there are so many other Companies willing to treat Drivers right. These young fools are happy getting treated not right. I guess they don't know any better. This goes for all this Mega Carriers not just USX, but they seemed to be the worst of them.
Karen Brown that's why they have salesmen in the big companies. The talk is cheap. Always look at the numbers and ask us old farts about a flease. The vast majority of flease purchase drivers starve and go broke.
Exactly. I noticed that right from the start. I didn't want to get on that Bird to Dallas, I had to force myself. I went to avoid going into a depressive state. I had a bad feeling about USX from the get go. I tried walking out of their orientation the first hour. I felt like I was in Kindergarten.They talked me into staying. Worst mistake I ever made.
Depends on how fast above the posted limit! 5 above you should be fine, 10 above will cause issues if within the last year, anything 15 above is automatic no hire for 3 years. The suspension shouldn't be an issue just tell them about it.

You must of forgot to pay your taxes or something, however there are those of us that are making it and are doing more than just making It.. Just because you couldn't cut it doesn't mean the next person can't.
Kindula Kindula I don't recommend getting into a lease purchase with any Company, especially if you are being paid per mile. You want to be paid percentage at least 72% if you lease purchase.
I don't want to make their program work because it's a joke. Believe me I can more than cut it but I don't wish to with this Company. I'm not a Steering wheel holder. I have my experience I don't have to work for Mega Carriers. I understand you kids think it's just great and I'm glad it works out for you.
