On September 9, 1994, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg of the U.S. Supreme Court visited the Law School, at the invitation of Dean Howard Markey (LLM 1950), to offer an address on the workings of the high court. After brief prepared remarks, she graciously welcomed an open and lengthy question-and-answer session which, as had she hoped, sparked questions about the U.S. Supreme Court and its "work ways." Law School faculty, students, and guests were quick to address the Justice with questions ranging from what criteria is needed to become a law clerk for the Supreme Court to whether the Bench has an agenda in deciding whether or not to grant certiorari.
Note: This recording is presented with minimal editing or alteration as part of the Law School's Historical Preservation Series. Due to the age and format of source material, intermittent audio and visual inconsistency is to be expected. Some content may reflect outdated facts and opinions.
