Two Hearts Beat As One, from U2’s debut album War, performed live at Denver’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre on 5th June 1983 during the War Tour of North America.

I would have to agree as far as live performance before the explosion to stadiums. I was lucky enough to see them live at a small venue in Denver - Rainbow Music Hall the year B4 Red Rocks '83. They matured live a great deal in that short span between those two shows. No greater anticipation for each successive album after my first listen to 'BOY' in '80. Those first four albums are just gold................

The rhythm section was well rewarded in the 80s with accolades 👌🏽. People just don’t like success. Undoubtedly the best bad so far 👌🏻

For those of us who saw this when it aired on MTV, you talk about the stars aligning and everything going right for a band's moment and them rising to the occasion to meet it, this performance at Red Rocks in America was it for U2.. It sent them to where they ended up for sure.. It's their only performance that mattered to me.

One of my all-time favorite performances of one of my favorite songs. Although, i think this is edited, as I believe he went on a riff with "twist again last summer" during this show (probably don't have the rights to publish). also the post should be corrected: War was not their debut album. it was their 3rd (after Boy & October). still, amazing to see and hear their energy from the 80's.

I listened to this album again and again in my room at the end of the eighties. What an album, what a concert and what a setting for a gig. But Bono whitout a shirt at the end of the song reminds me of Iggy Pop 😃

This tune wasn't included in the original concert video, at least not in the VHS tape that I bought. I'm guessing this was right before "Seconds." I seem to remember they showed a wide shot of the stage right before the song and Bono had his shirt off and then put one on when The Edge sang, and I always thought, "When did he take his shirt off?"
