It finally happened! No need for UAD hardware to run these. Universal Audio Digital is now offering Spark subscriptions for MacOS, Windows version is coming this fall. spark.uaudio.com/
Hi, if I wanted to add a consistent value, like 4dB on the bass of the headphones, perhaps with SIENNA, I would go to make a lack in the headphones / I would do a slight damage, are a lot of 4dB in addition? I know that when it comes to eq. is it always better to subtract, in this case of addition would I lose consistent quality? Up to what value can I add dB on the bass without doing damage and losing quality, after which I would start to mess up the sound of the headphones?
Give them a try for sure…you might find yourself reaching for UA compressors and saturation more often then Aquas - eqs i tend to like AA more. Thank you for watching!
If I use a 10-core cpu M1 and these native uad plug-ins, what can I expect on latency while tracking? What would roughly be the amount of DSP cores comparable to the 10-core M1?
I didn’t I have no regrets and I do get the native versions for free camera and still have a great audio interface with zero latency including processing on the input
So do I. They've been selling mediocre stuff for years like it's absolute gold. Their DSPs have the same computing power as an Intel Celerum and they charge you $800-1000 for something like that. That's at least half a good move :D Their plugins are still mediocre sold at exorbitant prices but at least they run on CPUs :D the curious thing is that you can't open old projects that have the DSP version with the latest version, so you still need their hardware to open old projects XD
