I understand what you are saying, unfortunetly, if the money is the same that means Uber is making more profit for their company. Unlike regular brokers, they do not have the congressional power to consolidate the business, Uber will. Also, Uber has already utilized the autonomous truck, however, they cannot do it in large scale because the U.S. does not the highway infrastructure to support the camera and satellite linkages needed to keep the trucks moving. Once Congress allocates the funds for the highway system, the independent truck IS going to be in trouble because the only place he/she will be needed is in the cities. So, its not about positive or negative vibes, its about economics. I am a trucking company owner and I have a MBA in Business Administration. This is history repeating itself in another industry. The banking industry did the same thing 15 years ago with brokers, now, there are few brokers and only the big banks exist. Wells Fargo and Bank of America spear headed the intiative. You cn be positive, don't be naive!

Life is good for truck drivers for the next couple years with uber but after that , truck driver will work for $.50 per mile. They will be luck to get 50% cut .

If you don't know about Uber,how can you comment against the people who have some type of experience with the company. just like a Uber driving can't tell u about Trucking u can't tell a Uber driver about Uber. There is a upside and downside to everything. The good side to trucking is the money,bad side maybe home time.Yet we deal with it,because it comes with trucking territory. Same with RU-vid,the upside is you may make a lil money and teach other while learning. The downside is people get to comment what THEY WANT right or wrong,good or bad. If you only want the comments YOU LIKE and want to hear maybe RU-vid is not for you because you're having a really hard time dealing with the downside🤷🏾.
I drove uber for five years as a driver yes I know nothing about trucking but the only thing I would say uber D is look at that Company Company is almost out of business because of uber want uber get a foothold in the air and say 4055 or 60% of the company start using Uber to move their freight is when they will start adjusting the prices uber got more drivers didn't they have riders in the San Francisco Bay area so that gives them the power to adjust the rates to whatever they want you know when I first started I was Easley making all moles $1500-$2000 A week that was four years ago I'll be lucky lucky if I make 900 now working the same hours four years ago is not what they're going to do now is what they going to do later when you almost have to depend on uber freight

I'm currently a company driver. I've been independent. I'm aware of the differences. I've driven for Uber. Worked only part time and made decent money in the beginning. That quickly went down hill. I'm glad I didn't quit my day job like so many did. Uber, the corporation, is the foundation for Uber , the taxi service. They are shysters. This is a well known fact. Uber, the corporation, is the foundation for Uber Freight. They are shysters. They will eventually show you how evil they are. I'm not knocking what you're doing at all. I'm glad someone is willing to do it, film it, and share it with the world. Please be honest with us and tell us when you feel things are going sour. Tell us the good AND the bad. The good is here and the bad is coming. You actually sound a lot like an Uber driver about 5 years ago. Uber is counting on you not doing your homework on Uber the corporation and Travis "the shyster" Kalanik.
Keep in mind most of us need to make at least $600 a day (more for most of us leasing a new RELIABLE truck) to make this whole thing worth while! Compared to when they started, the loads on Uber are paying less and there are fewer to choose from! Not to mention, a local load that delivers withing a mile of the pick up point only pays $275, but the serious rub is that it picks up on Monday 7:30 am and delivers Tuesday 9:30 am! Then there are the ones where the pick up is 9:00 pm and the drop off is 6:00 am, that's only 9 hours off, BUT THAT'S NOT COUNTING THE 3 HOURS IT TAKES THEM TO LOAD YOU AND DRIVING TO THE DROP OFF, so it's more like 5 HOURS OFF, and to be legal it needs to be 10! You are stuck with the load in your trailer for 26 hours for only $300! That's only $150 a day! And the app blocks you from even seeing a load if it's near (in time) to a load you already have so good luck making more than 2 loads a day

As a former former uber driver. Uber will start with a good pay then when they become big enough in the freight side they will do the same thing they did with their other services like food delivery and drivers which is reduce your pay and on top of that take most of your profit but oh well I’ll leave that to the idiots who sign up for them. Anyways it may not even work considering truckers are not gonna haul for shitty rates.

trucking was deregulated back in 1980 there's not a set minimum rate.... it's the free market if a brokerage firm decided to pay a penny a mile and some ass hole took it, there's no federal regulations to stop that it's called the free market

The ATA is a mouth piece for the mega carriers. You should put little faith in anything they have to say. OOIDA does a better job of representing the needs of the independent owner op.
