Getting ready to start my own business(hiring a driver) but this is new to me I've been doing my research for over 10 months and now I'm getting ready to purchase my truck and get it in the MUD. Based on your expeience I feel your giving a good head start for people to save time and money in their trucking career; a good solid deck of cards to play in the trucking industry. Your for sure where I come to hear what you have to say, your advice is no doubt priceless. Got me even considering ownership some day. Cool!! U covers a few things I was thinking on but then hit me with the Warranty. Good looking out. If also u mention the Factoring fee percentage as well. Few I know of fromDriving with OO teams. 2-3%. Not much but you have to be mindful so ur numbers will be right with quick books. Thx!! 🤲🏾🇲🇦

Always good info. You helped me organize a strong team, which includes an admin, dispatcher and diesel mechanic for my carriers. We use pilot J for fuel. I can not stress enough about watching your weigh and making sure you have good insurance.

I'm planning on relocating to Southern California and getting started in the trucking business as a driver. I have been driving dump trucks(waste trucks) for about 5.5 years with a B license. Is there anyway you can give me a heads up on what it's gonna take to get my foot in the door without out being taken advantage of by the big companies out there? Maybe even a company suggestion. Good video of real problems you need to find solutions too. Your first point take a computer class on how to use a file system, everything we do can be right their. Second point trucking pro it's a management system your accounting, freight loads, broker contact, all loads info. Third point find your day rate, and at what milage you use rate per mile. Don't forget you have to include your wages and maintenance in both. Ask other how they over came the problem s they have or had. It can help you be more efficient. Good video, work on back ground noise.

One Rich was it an “Aftermarket Warranty” or a “Manufacturing Warranty.” If it was an Aftermarket Warranty?” Who’s was it Premium 2000 , Master Truck Protection (MTP) , National Truck Protection (NTP) , or True North???? Which aftermarket?????

Hard to do but if you can operate without the services of a factoring company than you'll save more money. The interests and percentages that's involved within the contracts of a factoring company are often to much..

I hear 3rd party warranty is a scam. I was made aware that they just take your money and find a reason to deny you the minute you experience major setback or breakdown. Would you elaborate more on warranties? I think you had one that was set in to agreement by the dealer themselves. Thanks.

Never had a problem with using a third party Warranty. Jus stay up on your maintainace requirements and keep records of it. I use premium 2000.

1st, don't go 2 swift. Get 1 year experience then move 2 a smaller company, under 200 trucks. The 1st 6 months will be ruff but all uphill from there. Good luck & ask questions, stay strong

Hey bro you can just hire somebody to do your paperwork for you if you feel that is that complicated but it's not really that complicated you just got to know the paperwork. You would have been better off just recommending certain companies that specialize in managing Authority they charge a monthly fee which is not that expensive at least until you learn how to do it on your own I learn how to train someone else to do

Speaking for myself as a black male, who has been driving trucks for 9 years now, I dont deal with racism out here on the road. Why? Cause I choose to stay to myself and not give people the time of day. I don't communicate with strangers and only speak when I'm spoken to and I don't entertain negativity if it comes my way. Racism is out here just like its everywhere in this world. However, if you stay in your lane, know why you are out here, and that's to make money, everything else you will not pay attention to it!!!!

Living off a warrantee is like smoking crack, gets yea feeling all good inside then your teeth start falling out... Sorry, sir that's what happened when you smoke crack your teeth are not covered. I would rather have the cost of the warranties in a bank account To fix problems instead of financing bullshit.
