I was about to order too, I even wrote with support who assured me that delivery was 3 months max. I later found on reddit that this is a lie and the real delivery time is over a year for the black colour. I decided not to play the game where they cheat me at the start. So I bought a used MacBook 12 inch as a terminal.
Plus, there is a possibility that your Unit wont even work Like Mine, for over 2 weeks now they somehow cant find the issue and dont wanna have a direkt Look at my Unit
I've ordered one, then after a month I didn't receive anything and discovered after contacting the support about that. Some products are marked as not available in the shop, so I supposed that available products were ready for shipment... I was wrong 😩 Let's see if they will keep the word with me. One year is a scam
I bought one and have to say it was some of the best customer service I have ever gotten. Had a issue which was me not the device and they helped me through it. One thing to note if you don't buy the kit with the CM4 you will not get a SD card with there image on it. Not hard to download and make your own if you know how, just a step you will have to do after building it.
Can't wait for mine! It was the "next shipment" in a "3-5 shipments per month schedule" 4 months ago and now it's being packaged up and shipped "right now" according to the last update I got 6 weeks ago! ☠️ Should get it some time after I'm dead of old age.
@@nickk6109 To me it mostly depends on how it feels. Super hard to tell how something might feel just by watching a video. The sound doesn't bother me, i use a keyboard with pretty loud blue switched at home as well.
Seeing the tic-80 program running on there is super cool! That and Pico-8 were my initial thoughts of what I could use it for…if I knew how to code on those better

the speaker position is at the top and bottom so you can't hear the left and right position of the sound because the two speakers are on the same side, this is a fatal mistake in terms of sound design😅
Some use it as a radio station (not AM/FM but something more complex), others to do some ssh and others as an emulation station (you wont'be emulating PS3/Xbox360 games of course) It's a mini computer running linux so it's up to you what you want to use it for. I ordered mine and I'm planning to use it as an ssh station and portable coding-for-fun computer
The real question is, what real uses can it be made of? What is different about a laptop with Linux? - I get the feeling that this is a pointless project, I don't see the real functionality, if it is a field computer for use outside the home, there are laptops, if you want to use it as a console, there are already more emulation consoles small and powerful - Summary, ClockworkPi uConsole is spending money for the sake of spending, it makes no sense, it is just another option among many options, it does not add anything new to the market
la pregunta real es , ¿Que usos reales se puede hacen ?, ¿Que tiene de diferente a una laptop con linux? - Me da la sensacion que esto es un proyecto sin sentido, no le veo la funcionalidad real , si es un ordenador de campo para uso fuera de casa , existen los laptops, si lo quieres usar como una consola , ya hay consolas de emulacion mas pequeñas y potentes - Resumen, ClockworkPi uConsole es gastar el dinero por gastar, no tiene sentido , es una opcion mas entre muchas opciones , no añade nada nuevo al mercado
Looks cool but I'm not seeing the practicality of it. It doesn't make me think "omgggg I need that right now" The only use I could see getting out of it is sshing to other servers to manage them but I can already do that from my phone
Ethernet and a rs232 port would make this way better. Or does it have it already? Maybe it can be added... Idk. It's not much of a console without serial.
