The 2024 Celtics would beat them soundly. This is prime Jayson Tatum and prime Jaylen Brown. The '08 Celtics were not Bucks/Sonics Ray Allen, Timberwolves Garnett, or prime Paul Pierce. All those guys were exiting their primes, and Rondo is a low IQ guard and wouldn't be able to do anything about Derrick White. This isn't really close when you think it over.

This year's team had Jru and D White guarding 5's. I'd love to see them run Rondo pick and roll with KG AND SEE Jru switch onto KG. The guard match-up would be fascinating seeing Jru and Rondo battle, and D White guarding Ray. JT would have to start guarding Perk so they'd lose the rebounding battle. It's a fun match-up

Nope. Haslem is 100% correct. If you say otherwise, you literally haven’t sat down and looked at the math. There’s a reason ZERO teams play the old style now. It doesn’t result in as many points. Period. Math > nostalgia.

@@izzynarvaez1223I know matchups are VERY relevant when it comes to ball, and I initially did believe that ‘24 is wiping the ‘08 team (mainly because of defense and three pointers), but then I think of how their entire core got older and still pushed the Heatles to 7 games. Doc would need to implement a masterful plan though to win (he did have a good game plan against Kobe but it wasn’t anything revolutionary). I think the series would be incredibly close in the end.
