Hey, Nick - is it much better than the Sony XB10 you've reviewed lately? I;m looking for a small, portable speaker and the Sony seems more portable but I'm also into the sound quality.

Oh, I see you've already replied to such comment :) From my listening to your audio test I didn't notice such a big difference in bass between those two though.

The Ue Wonderboom sounds better overall to me, and goes much louder. The XB10's bass will distort at full blast. If you have the extra money to spend you'd be better off with the Wonderboom or the JBL Flip 4.

Hey, thanks for the replay. I've already got a "bigger" speaker, the BT6600 which is on pair with Flip 4 IMO and now I'm looking for sth really pocketable, so the Wonderboom is even a lil bit stretch for me. Is there any better small one than XB10? I;ve heared about the Anker Soundcore Mini that is decent and it costs more than twice less than the Sony so it might be a better buy overall. I guess though that you've never heared it yet?

I have an Anker Soundcore Mini and I love that speaker. I did review that one a while back. The Soundcore Mini is about 80% the size of the XB10, but it has a much better build quality in my opinion. It sounds really good but doesn't have as much bass as the XB10. For the money, I'd go with the Soundcore Mini.

Whoah, you're right - I've even watched it some time ago! My bad :) Yea, I think pretty much the same, although I haven't heared any of them in person. Mainly I want just to amplify my RU-vid experience/sound as the loudspeakers on my Sony X Compact are nothing but silent... Currently I'm using the Xiaomi Mi speaker, the smallest one from their portfolio but it doesn't sound that good in terms of sound. SO I thought I'll upgrade it to sth a lil bit bigger but much better if it goes about the audio quality. That's why I thought about the Anker Mini but at the same time I've noticed this new Sony. Hey, does the Anker also distort at the higher volumes? Or it's much cleaner? Thanks again for all of the replies! Now I'm pretty sure I'll be getting the Anker. It's smaller and much cheaper yet pack probably enough good sound for my mainly RU-vid needs. Cheers!

The Sony XB10 is not bad but can't compete with the much larger Wonderboom. The Wonderboom sounds like a much larger speaker and is louder too.

the one i got at Target has "Ultimate Ears", too. I guess certain models got that, and others got the UE logo. Same thing.

If you want rugged and waterproof, go Wonderboom. Otherwise the Sony XB20 is a much better speaker with many more features and sounds better.
