UE5 - Animating Metahuman with IClone live Link and recording with Take Recorder. Save the animation

I also showed the process of exporting and saving the body and face animations of the Sequence animation applied with a live link to the Metahuman character and applying them directly to the character. You can also see the solution to the foot slip issue of the exported animation.

Ok so this is EXACTLY what i am after. One issue i am having though, maybe you can help? It seems that as soon as i add the face and body animation sequences to the animation section in the characters BP the character just moves from where he was to some other random place on the map? And his widget (or what ever its called the thing you can move them or rotate them in the world) is now no where near them? its like their origin point is now way off?

Ok i have figured that out, by unticking the "looping" and "playing" options in the BP under where we added the animations. This does bring up a new issue though, i want to add this to a level sequence, as im trying to make a movie. I have the scene set up, camera ready. How do i add this to the scene? And more importantly when rendering the scene how can i make it so this metahuman animator starts from the beginning when i hit render?

If you save the animation after resetting the character's pivot, you can run the animation anywhere. You can also run the animation at the current position using the sequence recording.

I cant understand why there's some blueprints options that I dont have.. Like rl Root there's no that option in my blueprint, I use UE 5.2

After adding your metahuman character to the project, copy the Reallusion metahuman kit to the project and confirm the file change.

how do we transfer mesh like landscape to iclone for accurate movement tracking in iclones motion director?

Hello, iClone does not support Landscape transfer. It would be more logical to use a live link for Landscape. You can try to transfer as fbx, but in any case it will slow down iClone and you may not be able to set the location settings properly when you transfer back.

You cannot put the metahuman head in the CC body. More precisely, you cannot add the head of any non-standard character to the CC character body. You can only retarget by creating non-standard characters, but metahuman face morphs won't work. However, when the headshot 2 plugin comes out, you may have a chance to create a metahuman-like character. This plugin will enable character creation with fbx like the metahuman plugin. I'm not sure if it will work for you, but CC textures are now applied to metahuman characters and I showed it in the previous video.

@@Yepkoo yes thank you for texture video, its works well. but the thing i want to achieve is to have my custom cc3+ character body with the metahuman head. the dream is to have the customizability of CC4 characters and their body morphs with the fidelity and realism of metahuman heads.

@@poochyboi This may not be technically possible due to mesh mismatch. Of course, if the Reallusion team can find a solution for this in the future, it would be perfect for all of us. Because we can't even convert non-standard characters to CC characters and this is a big challenge. But I think metahuman characters will be more customizable in the future. More body morphs, height, outfit, makeup, etc.

​@@Yepkoo that's is the hope! I saw a video of mesh morpher which can wrap the metahuman body to a cc3 mesh but I have my doubts on how accurate that will be.
