Talking like Costa, I’m assuming he’s your favorite fighter. While I do agree Khamzat needs to fight dudes ranked 6-10 to show he can hang with ranked middleweights. However if we are speaking about Costa, he’s 1-4 in his last 5, and his 1 win was a very sloppy win against Luke Rockhold. I think they should re-book Costa vs Khamzat, IF he can beat Costa then he deserves to stay in top 5 or 10
With Bobby as a backup, DDP might find a reason to back out and let him fight Izzy. I'm not saying that he loses to either one of them, but he might see it as a "business move"... Thats he fight world we live in 😢
Maybe Robert Whittaker should have to face Sean Strickland instead of getting a back up/title shot. Strickland is the one who should be fighting for the belt but Bobby Knuckles already lost multiple title shots and lost to Dricus..Two wins don't make you ready to beat the champ.

Rob is an amazing creation. SO driven, So humble, So sportsman like. I wish he was an American, since he holds all of our sporting values. After some heavy, deep setbacks, where many guys would have called it a career. He kept his focus, keep working harder and harder than ever. And ultimately put up a performance like this one. And this guy very likey would have been a favorite or a tight slight underdog vs Khamzat. I bet Chimaev (like McGregor) are both breathing sighs of relief that they didn't throw down. Whittaker crushed some of that Dagestani aura with that quick work. The Ikram guy seemed lost, couldn't implement a real game plan. Khamzat would have jumped right to the grappling though as he did with Usman.
