As an Egyptian i belive the right for all to have access to water.. and when we see our African brothers in Ethiopia in need to better their living standards by access to water as; an egyptian i fully support that. i believe in Africa we can work together to progress together. FYI Ethiopia was one of the main reasons of the Somali droughts by building a huge number of dams over the last several decades on the Jubba and the Shebelle rivers and that's why Somalia has no independent will over their political decisions and follow the Ethiopian will unwillingly. Besides of this, Ethiopia is dealing with the waters as if it's their one sided rights and are willing to create a water bank to sell water to Egypt and Sudan which is a total violation of international norms and laws and historical rights of Egypt and Sudan. That's why Egypt insists on Ethiopia to deal with transparency and cooperate because Sudan could drown (which happened several months ago) and Egypt could be affected because of the uninformed floodings caused by the one sided Ethiopian decisions in operating the dam. Also another huge issue is that after the second filling if the dam reservoir (which didn't happen yet) it becomes a real threat to Egypt and Sudan as a single attack on it or any engineering fault could simply cause a doomsday catastrophic flood that'd wipe Sudan cities and people off the earth and cause huge damage to Egyptian lands and population. That's why Egypt have been trying over an entire decade to negotiate with the Ethiopian side in vain but apparently the Ethiopian prime minister is using this crisis to keep an outer enemy active to unite the shattered Ethiopian interior affairs. Tbh this dam will be blown up the moment the second filling starts because once the second filling is accomplished there is no turning back and Sudan and Egypt will become the second Somalia; droughted, without will and submissive to the Ethiopian will which Egypt will never allow any step towards this situation. Egypt has one of the most powerful armies in the world (the 9th globally) and that is used to protect not to attack over the history. The thing is we've been in 2 wars with Egypt and won both. It's all about heart and patriotism. They can't match us. In fact, they will never dare fu----- with us. The perfect example is the Nile dam. They talked and threatened but at the end of the day they didn't do shit. Cowards.
