Speed dating sucks and here is why: Even if you do it, you gonna get lower quality than expected, and the same is true for other person, because if it wasn't, neither of you would be in that position. I wont go on some cliche about love and connection and all that, but at least achieve your peak before you start looking for a relationship. That way you get maximum quality according to your genetic potential. Call it quality control xD.

I’m pretty sure that women don’t only value their partners for physical attractiveness and resources. If you talk to normal women you’d know. I actually tried speed dating, and it wasn't that far off from the video. Before the event begins, the crowd is allowed to mingle, and I figure by that point people already know who they will be hooking up with. The rest of the event is just people rotating and telling each other why they are superior to each other.

Despite not really liking any of them, he ironically seems to have an easier time talking with the people there than he does his friends, (at least in my opinion.) You can really tell they're all cut from the same fabric, being that they're alone and feel entitled and are unwilling to settle for people who are about as imperfect as they are. The bisexual dude wont settle for the other queer guys because they don't meet his standards and instead tries to look for attention in the straight section, the fat girl while being arguably better natured than the others has problems that she ignores by telling herself that other guys just can't handle her, the single divorced mom feels entitled to a one-sided relationship where a man provides, (based off of her appearance and story she probably had higher value on the dating market if she was able to marry the owner of a company,) and the influencer feels entitled because she feels like she is doing everyone a service and deserves compensation through her own personal happiness. By and large, maybe the irony is that the characters seem to understand each other decently well and are accurate in their criticisms, but none of them really deserve any better than each other even if they believe they are too good for one another. Remember kings and queens, if you actually want a chance at landing a decent person, work on being a decent person yourself beforehand.

The variety of characters in this one made this one of the more intriguing episodes. The older lady/"roastie" was my favorite. You got her spot on. I was captivated.

Dating is weird to me, seems like a fun thing for teenagers but as an adult managing my own time and resources it seems like too much. Something I've seen though is in my friend circle (it's pretty large and cycles in people) is a group of people attracted to the same activities slowly learning about each other before finally dating. Seems like a more relaxed strategy than traditional methods. Of course it's taken years for this to cultivate so I don't know if it's easy or hard.

Nathan is a very well written character. You can see that he has a very big moral flaw, that being his envy, but, at the same time, you can see that it's caused by something he has little control over. He can't just "Git good!" and become attractive. He can't change his height. He can't change his baldness. He can't change his voice. He will always be low status. All he can do is find peace and be happy that his friends have succeded where he could not and hopefully not be consumed by his envy instead. It takes a heroic humbleness to find peace with such a condition. People have no problem writing Sebastian's story. Sebastian's story is about making the most out of the chances you have. But few people have the courage to write Nathan's story. Because Nathan's story is about making the most out of the fact that you've got no chance.

Really funny episode, but I noticed one thing: the animation has SERIOUSLY gone up in quality this episode. Ofcourse they're pretty static, single perspective little characters, but the tiny little movements they do to express their actual emotions, the smoothness of you how make them do that, even the pacing of the synthesized voices, this time was somehow really really good. Nathan is the one character I hope gets a redemption arc, Sebastien got his with the whole gf arc and getting along with his sometimes selfish friends (or maybe it will prove a step back after the forest incident is explained?) Patrick got halfway redeemed by being a gentle giants and being “interesting” to other people. Julian is setup for an upbringing arc given that they just told us why he is the butt of the jock. He was presssured to do stupid things in order to please his friends and now he became a jerk as a result. Nathan however doesn’t seem to have any signs of wanting to be better, but this video showed us a more realistic perspective and relatability of him.

Nathan may sadly be the closest E-girl has ever gotten to a genuine conversation. I really felt Nathan's pain when he learned that she makes way more than he is just by being an E-girl.
