Thanks for covering the expo and both were great videos. The expo is something that most of us look forward to every year. It’s grown a lot over the years, but the connection between the collectors is what makes this just as a much a reunion as a place to display what each of us has in our collections. People come from all over, including people from all over the US, Canada and Europe, to go to the expo.
We seriously had so much fun, we kept talking about it and talking about it after we left. Utterly blown away. The jerseys, the access, and so many great conversations we had - seriously, we'll be back over and over. We also had no idea what to expect with these videos, but it seems like they're a hit, so next year we'll film more and talk to anyone who's willing - this was like 5% of what we could have filmed, because every table had stories. I hope we did a good job showcasing what was there and just as importantly, you guys.
I posted your videos in the Expo Facebook group earlier today and the feedback that I have received so far has all been positive. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself, which is what this is all about. Hopefully, I’ll get the chance to talk with you next year.
What a collection of the Vezina winners & isn’t unbelievable how much knowledge there is when it comes to hockey jerseys? Example, I wouldn’t have ever known that on the North Stars jersey the black is nothing but stitching and no twill..wow!
I'm already wondering if that was just the first year(s) they did it and it changed as time went on, but I don't know! Like they fixed the old numbers and crests for the new colors, but I'm not going to know without seeing more game-worn North Stars jerseys. So much to know! What a fun niche!
Part 2 was just as great as part 1. Hopefully you all make it out to more conventions. Curious if any of the collectors at the expo wear their gamers. As a (small scale) game worn jersey collector, I enjoy wearing them to games that feature that team. Would also be remiss if I didn’t mention that in the OHL, gamers are technically double tagged to identify the kit company; however that company’s logo is on the inside bottom of the jersey behold the CHL logo.
I still haven't gotten a read on proper etiquette for gamers, if there even is one. Honestly, we were one of a handful of people who were wearing jerseys.
Two great videos from that expo, some amazing jerseys, I don't own a lot of game worn jerseys in my collection - purely because of the amount they cost - replicas are expensive enough!!

Great video!!! You guys need to go to Meigray game worn expo in summer. Its in NJ. HOF always has set up there along with collectors all around world. Its biggest one every year. Be cool to meet you guys.
the only 2008 sabres winter classic jersey i've seen for retail doesn't include the laces. it's just a standard older reebok cut jersey like the one at 9:30.
Yeah, it was the weirdest thing. They didn't cash in on that like they do now. Yeah, we definitely talked about it. Between us, I think we only have a handful, most of which are John's Merceyhurst sweaters. Detroit Hockey Company has some reasonable prices for gamers if you're looking to break into the game yourself.
I myself hope you guys start to cover this part of the hobby more as there really is no channels that cover game used jerseys........used to be, hes off line now.....yep, Detroit Hockey, very good, I suggest Meigray........they have an expo in July.....Meigray still has contracts with Seattle, Washington, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Colombus and Nashville........they also had Boston as of last year......I got a truly bad ass Charlie McAvoy jersey from last year's record breaking season...❤❤❤
