First time trying this got almost all of them, this is interesting as i am a self taught guitar player who was always able to just play songs by hearing them, it is cool and i think these tests could help me master this ability

hi there i was wondering what the average pass mark is for these tests and will the actual test be the same level of difficulty

Hello, thank you for your questions. The pass mark changes every year, but for the last 10 years it's been between 42-46 out of 60. The actual exam will be around the same difficulty but possibly slightly easier. Definitely not more difficult than these tests. Good luck! 🙏 💪☺

Try to use your fingers to count the beats at the same speed as the pulse given at the beginning. This will help you identify where the changes occur. All our students find it helpful!

Don't worry! The good thing about practising for MAT tests using videos is that you can rewatch them multiple times. You practice ear training the same way you practice everything else - by repeating things a lot of times, and improving little by little each time. Don't give up!
