I was 18 so was 16 just as the Casual / Dresser scene had started proper in 1980 they said it was a phase..long phase back then we had 4/5 shops to get gear from or be lucky to have scally mates who would bring you stuff back from Rotterdam etc European games or friendlies abroad. The clothes were new to us then..now vintage, retro etc and anyone can buy from anywhere PayPal kids etc. Old School and a lot of Youngsters that know the score can get decent attire then you have the clowns who have nothing but Stone Island in their wardrobe and think it makes them a Casual..it doesn't

I hope you can get 50 or a hundred thousand subscribers because although I wasn’t a “ bovver boy “ ( haven’t heard that for years )i am of this generation and understand that it was a way of life just like bike & scooter clubs & gangs were and there must be loads & loads of old fellas with crazy stories no matter which side they followed or fought against ! You are highlighting a social & cultural phenomenon which deserves not to be lost or buried & simply equated to the tv re runs of tragic stadium disasters - because at the end of the day the individual moments of football aggro on those streets weren’t scenes of mass murder or damage beyond that of the unconnected from football Weekend night club booze battles all over the land back then and to this day 🏴❤️

Have read a fair few of the memoirs of the biggest mobs in England. Lincoln mentioned a good few times. Pompey went there and said they were well game. Stoke City and Zulus too. From here in Ireland never really knew anything about the place but obviously a lot of decent lads who defend their town at all costs. Respect is hard earned in that world and Lincoln definately have it.

It was Sheffield Wednesday Martyn... we were outside Sharpe's on the High Street dreaming about one day having a Kawasaki KH 250 motorbike as they walked by because they had avoided the turn for Sincil Bank . Some years later we came in Dazzler's in the usual dress of the early eighties after two none footy lads had told us there was a nightclub in Lincoln where you could get in in jeans , just 3 of us... after getting our beers we turned around to see about 60 pairs of bleached jeans against the far wall very well highlighted by the neon lights , my mate just laughed and asked me how the f... we get out of this ...we were Chelsea lads from Newark , the under fives came over to suss us out to see if we were Forest , we came straight clean about who we were , not like some . Next thing we were surrounded and pushed out of the emergency exit , that metal staircase in the allyway saved our skins as we attempted to stand our ground ....thankfully the two other lads that had brought us there in their car pulled up and we dived in , all 5 of us laughing our heads off all the way along the A46 ....good old days .

I remember going to Lincoln in the 80s with Burnley a coach load of lads with no colours maybe a pin badge at most set off early in an attempt to dodge the old bill and prevent getting wrapped up. We got there early and managed to get into one their pub's in the city centre getting nice and cosy before anyone realised who we were and before the home fans showed up. Police soon had us sussed blocking us in for the next couple of hours before marching the 50 or so of us towards Sincil Bank were we paid into the stand behind the goal under the watchful eyes of the old bill for a next 90 minutes. Afterwards I remember it going off by the canal next to the ground before literally going toe to toe with the Lincoln lads as we met eachother in the middle of a pedestrian canal bridge. Game lads were Lincoln that day as were the police who were eager to nick anyone who stepped out of line. Had some cracking away days with Burnley trawling the lower leagues through the 80s and 90s . Burnley always turned up, but one day when you came, you were in a pub called The Still, town centre, we popped our heads in and you came out, about twenty of you and got utterly slaughtered, three SS knocked out right outside, the rest chased all over , a Lincolnshire echo reporter was walking by and witnessed it and took pics and it T was on the front page of the early edition and we bought copies and at the game we’re throwing copies in your end for you to see, 1983-84, ask any of your older lot that were there that day, you came the season before and it went off with bigger numbers and the season after it was at yours in the car park that one of yours got severely slashed right down his back, very naughty I know and the lad has always regretted doing it , we never knew he was carrying a Stanley knife, but to be fair one of yours had a machete, and two of ours got ripped jackets and we’re lucky really,

I used to meet some of the original LTE lads in the 80s on England trips, there were a regular group of us from Stockport and we got on well, on one trip to Paris it kicked off with us and West Ham in Shakes at Victoria station, anyway they wanted to carry it on when we got on the Ferry and because we'd given as good as we got they wouldn't let it drop and tried organise a big North v South fight I asked your lads if they'd be with us but they were very non commital and saying they were midlands, that was a bit disappointing, fortunately Chelsea backed us up as we were regular travellers and knew them well. You're right at the end to say it's over it's gone and should be consigned to the past where it belongs.

Why they have no knowledge of playing Men's football or in the few years of an international career are getting lucrative jobs..They are under qualified I've been into playing and watching Men's football for almost 60 years and the dread of hearing one of those whiney voices spoils the game.. They are more of a problem than VAR can't understand why men haven't made a stand..unless their Mrs wears the trousers and they Dare not say anything

@@davidmcclements436 I rate Luton actually, we never had a do with MIGS until a few years ago when you turned up , two mobs , two different pubs, our youth attacked Wetherspoons were your lads were, they all got jail, another 60 Luton in Treaty of Commerce pub came walking down the high street, I was on my own as just been to see my tattooist , now you can ask your lads if this is genuine, I was walking beside your mob, unfazed by the odds , I noticed this bloke staring at me , on the path 30 years away from your mob, now he wasn’t gobbing off, so I thought he was a member of the public merely scowling because of the thugs in town, then BANG !! I’m seeing fucking stars, proper almost out for the count, a black lad came running over and said ( oldest Hooligan trick in the book ) you starting on my mate you cunt, because the coppers were straight on it, coppers grabbed me, pinned me up against a shop door, my legs still like jelly, until a member of the public came and said , actually officer that lad up there, Luton big hitter punched this feller when he had his back turned, great punch , hardest I’ve been hit in twenty years, it was even on RU-vid for a bit, thank fuck it’s not anymore, now matey boy got nicked , I was unaware that a copper in a marked car was filming it the whole time, my mate Marcus who got time for this ( 2 years) met big hitter at court and they got chatting, he thought I’d given a statement, but when he got nicked and realised it was only old bill that had him to rights , he said to my mate , tell him fair crack, now the day after I got twatted , our police football intelligence officer rang me up ( don’t ask how he got my number) and said to me, the lad who smacked you has been in trouble for football violence in every decade from the 60’s onwards, Hertfordshire police want him, I said you know the answer to that , they never rang again, so yeah you brought a good mob that day and I’ve nothing but respect for anyone that’s come to Lincoln proper looking for it

@@UKCasuals Martin one game that I can never forget was back in the seventies I think I was about 17 Luton were a good team at the time always in division 1 and 2 at the time.We drew Bradford City at home in the f a cup they were division 4 they turned up by train about 200 of them at 10 o'clock in the morning I'm telling you they took the living piss they done Luton all day long and after the game. Millwall and Chelsea are the only other teams that completely done us all day long but they always had a few thousand.Bradford definatly one of the top firms I ever saw at Luton especially from up north

Good little mob Lincoln I remember going up there 👆 I think it was actually the 81-82 season in a league cup game with West Ham on a Tuesday night and it proper went toe to toe on a little footpath which went into a narrow bridge right near the ground got to hold my hands 🙌 up it was going backwards and forwards people getting upped on both sides I’d say even stevens !! Millwall went up there in a night game a little b4 or after and heard that they were right in a proper battle!! Don’t know who did who ? Someone might remember?
