UK Nurse Salary | Dialysis Nurse | London | ACEVENTURES
Once again, I would like to share to you my salary as a dialysis nurse here in the UK. In this video, you will see some of the main factors that affects my salary compared to those nurses working in the ward.

So sorry to know that in England, especially in such expensive city like London salaries are so low. In US you can make 35-38 dollars/hr, plus overtime which leads to 5-6k a month.

Yes,that’s very true. Almost half of the salary goes to bills/tax/pension if you’re working in London.

Hi. Mmm.. as far as I remember it’s all situational. They asked me about patient’s safety, how to deal with conflicts, most difficult experienced encountered and how did i handle it. So more of behavioral questions.

In Finland they say they are not paid well, they should compare their salary with UK salary and understand how well paid they are.

Regards from Korea, thanks for sharing those actual informations! I have one question. Can dialysis nurse do some bank shift at the general wards on holiday or sunday for extra income, without any qualification restriction? I also watched your video about bank nurse but I couldn't interpret 😭

Hello. As far as I know, it would be hard for you to do bank shifts in the wards because they need you to be qualified to do certain things. If you really want to do bank shift in the wards, you need to talk to the manager in that ward and ask if they can train you. In my hospital trust, they offer training in the ITU if you want to do bank shifts with them.

Wow. Napaka informative. HD nurse here. I would like to ask po Kung pano po pag un mga hd nurses na nagwwork like sa mga hemodialysis centers, same ln po ba salary? At ano po agency at trust nyo po? Salamat.

Hi ellaine. Ako po nagwowork sa dialysis unit mismo and yung basic rate ko po compared sa ward nurses is same lang, sa mga enhancements lang po nagkakaiba. ☺️ hindi ko po sure if pwd ko i.reveal ang trust ko po dito hehe message nalang po kayo sa facebook account ko 😀 AC Lagasca

Ayy pag private po, hindi ko po sure eh. May isa po akong friend working sa private hd center pero sa countryside, balikan ko po kayo if nag-reply na po siya ☺️

Dialysis nurse na po ako sa pinas. Then naghanap ako ng trust po dito na nag-hihire ng mga dialysis nurses. Pero sabi po sa amin noong asa pinas pa na walang kasiguraduhan kung sa hd po agad mapupunta kasi madami ding successful applicants na hd nurses. Luckily, sa cohort po namin, isa ako sa mga napunta sa hd unit agad.

Do you have patient care technicians, or dialysis techs in UK? Or nurse is by herself? if so, what is the name of this position?

It depends where you’re working. In my unit we have healthcare assistant and in some they don’t have any healthcare assistant at all but they have lesser number of patients.

yes there are a lot of opportunities if you want to advance your career in dialysis. In my trust, some can be a transplant coordinator, or you can also work as a Home Hemodialysis Nurse or shift to be a peritoneal dialysis nurse.

Hi Radhika. As far as i know, you don't need any prior experience. Once you are a qualified nurse here in the UK, you can immediately apply as a dialysis nurse.

Hi geetha. Sorry I’m actually not familiar and not sure with the application process if you’re coming from India. All I know is that international nurses who wants to work as nurse here in the UK must take an English language test and take another exam for you to be qualified as a nurse.

hello. as far as I know, you need to take an english test, theory test and practical test. Best thing to do first is to search for a recruitment agency based in India.

Hi Rachelle. Sa fresenius po ako nagtraining before kasi yun po yung merong available slots that time. Sa bbraun po sana ako kasi meron silang training center doon sa hometown ko kaso full sila kaya napunta po ako ng fresenius. Okay naman po so far yung training nila ☺️

Hi Rachelle. I got an update po sa kakilala ko na asa fmc. As of the moment hindi daw po sila nagcoconduct ng training for external candidates. Ang good news po is tumatanggap na sila ng applicants to work as an hd nurse then tyka po nila sila ittrain.

I think there’s none but some NHS do carry out oncall hemodialysis for patients who badly need dialysis.
