Bless you girl, seriously hope you have a great career as a nurse, got some chronic health problems myself, with lots of hospitalisations in the past and would be more than happy having you take care of me, wishing you all the best take care of yourself!
In America you would not be able to get any nurses to work for such low wages. Most nurses here make about 35 to 75 dollars per hour and with overtime on top of that a lot of nurses make well over 100k a year. During COVID in 2020/21 my wife was making $100 per hour for a 6 week contract and was able to find a contract paying $3000 per week for 12 weeks and was able to extend to another 12 after that. I’ve heard the UK pay was low but didn’t think it was that low. Being a nurse in America is one of the top paying jobs.
😱😱 This is crazy! Im qualifying this year but I think I can make more money being a nanny 😥 I get payed £15 an hour as a nanny at the moment. Nursing is something that if you do it it’s because you love it and have the heart to go through it, because it’s difficult but I also think the amount of work hours, stress and responsibility that comes with it should also be mirrored in the payment.
Now i understand why people enjoy benefit in the uk. It is not fair working hard and get 1800pounds and another one get 1200 for staying ata home. Who is winning?
Awesome.....thanks for sharing this vital information with us and I think it will be of greater help to aspiring health workers longing to work in the UK . You are always on point Becca Bae.
As a Registered Nurse from the USA. The pay for registered nurses in the UK is extremely low. Registered nurses in USA make $58,000-100,000 per year depending on which state you live in.
Ramla l understand what you have said, but remember U.K people doesn't pay health care its free, but waiting list is upside down, l like USA system you pay health insurance and and its efficient. Free things always results in backlogs
How much paid time off do you get? We have 27 paid vacation days plus additional days for working holidays (it works out to 5 to 6 weeks per year) PLUS 1 month full pay sick leave and 1 month half pay sick leave per year PLUS 6 days paid carers leave if you have young children PLUS 1 year maternity leave (9 months paid- not full pay for the entire 9 months and the last 3 months are unpaid) PLUS Pregnancy related illness is paid and is excluded from regular sick days. AND you're entitled to your antenatal clinic time. AND There is an optional paid compassionate leave if you suffer tragedy. AND Work related injuries qualify you for paid long term sick (I've known staff that was out for 6 months with full pay for shoulder strain from a patient). That, my colleague makes up for the difference in salary.
@@SCNNICURN Thats why am saying, free health is a mess, because many people suffer waiting list nhs appointments, due to backlogs, in life threatening situations, Better pay for health while you earn good salary and get efficient health service delivery when your child/yourself needs it.
@@peterrichard9769 we don’t get free healthcare. It’s paid for by the people via tax and Ni.. Also you can’t use it either, there isn’t 1 NHS dentist per 10k people where I live.. You may get use of it in you live in a city like Brum or London The uk is the Ultimate scam, you pay for something you can’t use..
Check your band and pay scale and your area rates. Google agenda for the scale payscale. It will tell you what pay point you are on, which equals your salary. Your money looks a bit low, that said How many years of service have you done? your wage slip says 2021. I am not sure 2021 anyone was starting at that rate. I could be wrong, but check the agenda for scale. Contact the Unison Union black members for pay information.
@@echeobiabobenedict5045 yes that’s why I mentioned it dear. Paying pension is a choice it’s not mandatory. I know uk nurses who have decided not to contribute and they get more money out of their salary each month.
It would be interesting to see how much full time agency or bank are paid. This nhs one is sad to hear. From the pay rate to the deductions 💔💔 all that hard work. Love your channel and thank you 💕💕💕💕
Two things have come to light for me in the last year. Im an ITU nurse and been a band 5 for 5yrs. For those of you in nursing you’ll know senior roles In ITU are slow. But the last three years I was doing bank shifts on my unit, initially the bank shifts were for luxury items, holidays, cloths, gadgets etc etc. but now I do bank shifts just to maintain a normal life, Last 18months, that money was used just to live, worked it out I’m doing 34.5 hrs extra just to maintain my life. I’m pretty minimal in my life, this year I’ve decided to do a masters in ITU, this ment I couldn’t extra shifts to make up the difference. So I finish this course in 9 weeks . I’ve now decided I’m leaving the NHS, the basic wage cannot meet a basic living standard, you have to be honest to yourself, if a job cannot meet basic needs, it’s time to move on
NHS nurses are truly the unsung heroes of UK health system. I remain astounded what they have been through and nothing in reality has been done to support them. A payrise that is worthless with rising inflation and promises that are just words from our government. Shame on BJ and his cronies . NHS thank you so much 🙏👏👏👏
Hi Becca, How are you doing? I need some urgent Help. The UK System has been "killing me off" every single Day since last Year. I've also lost 12 plus Years of my Life, because the UK System kept me "mentally sick". I'm better now, because I "overcame" the Mental Health Issues last Year. Because of the "many Years" I was sick for though, I "currently struggle" to find a Job where I can show my "Potential". I also can't find a "straightforward" and "ethical" Platform, where I can "ethically" earn from my current Skills. I don't want to think about suicide, but I don't know what to do with myself and my Life anymore. Please help. Kind Regards
This is exactly where I am confused, I want to study to be a registered nurse, I see on the job site that pay higher than 30 per hour is given, on the other hand, when I check youtube, the real registered nurse working in the NHS looks hours Salary is much lower, why? Wouldn't agency nurses have many shifts? Looking forward for your reply
Becca I love you. I just started watching your videos, nd let me say girl, I'm inspired👌. I'm a registered nurse from SA, but I hv a dream of working in the UK or USA. M gravitating towards the uk after watching your videos 💕💕💕
Hi Becca! I love watching your videos.. Would like to know if your previous NHS trust is Maidstone or Tunbridge Hospital in Kent ? If yes we would like to hear from you with regards to their Endoscopy unit, rent fees in Kent and are there any opportunirty for further education lke as an endoscopy specialist sponsored by Trust? we will be working soon with them hopefully 🙏🙏
This is low pay meant to entice immigrants to the UK as the government doesnt care about encouraging its own domestic nurses with such poor wages, smart nurses emigrate to Oz
Hi becca, any idea why some nhs trust pays more then normal package. Like one of the my friend had package of 32k£ per year package which is more the band 5 nurse. Thanks
There should be an investigation into the ridiculous amount of money paid to agency nurses (that these agency nurses demanded before going to help) that were called for help when the Manchester bomb went off. Just putting this out there and hopefully someone WILL investigate.
With all due respect. You have to look at your company. 1) Your company is not profitable 2) It costs 143 billion a year of loss. (Please read that figure again). 3) This is not your job role its your employer. 4) before anyone starts, i don't care about US health care. 5) Before you blame the goverment funding. Ask yourself has the govement or politicians really had your best interest as a top priority? Why would you expect them to care about your health
Hello Becca I’m coming to Dartford, England next month!! Thanks for the inspiration What’s the weather like in May ending to June? Approximately how much money will I need on me. Not planning to buy any cloths just jacket, boots, food and any other miscellaneous. I understand Dartford is close to London and so it’s expensive
Huraaaayyyyy 💃💃congratulations 👏 🙌 💖. Weather is warm in May between 12 to 19 degrees. U can have anything between £200 to £400 cuz u will be paid by end of month. Proud of your achievement 👏
Hi Becca I love your videos, however if that you salary after tax how can someone pay rent and live. This is very depressing. Do you think it’s worth it?
I agree. I’m a final year nursing student due to qualify this year and it is quite depressing. I knew salary wasn’t the best, but not this poor. Fortunately, as I’m still young, I’m currently still living with my parents so will only pay subsidised ‘rent’ to them. And I do live in London where starting salary is 30k per year. I think the key for me is to do a lot of weekends and unsociable hours (which I honestly don’t mind) to shoot that income up haha. I also don’t plan to stay at Band 5 for very long, planning to do further training/education to progress to Band 7 x
hi how are you l hope you are doing well can you please help my sister to find a job in London she was doing nurse course in Zimbabwe and she pass everything she is 21 years old
Hi Becca, I would like to know which branch of EKHUFT you worked as an endoscopy nurse? As I’m moving to work at WHH endoscopy unit next year. Your prompt response will be deeply appreciated. Thank you
Hi please I’m an overseas nurse in Uk. I just got a post as a band 5 and wanted to know how long did you do shadowing before starting taking your own patients .
Hi dear,I think this is a nice video, actually, i'm Osei from Ghana. Can u tell me in case someone qualifies to be registered with NMC UK his cost of application etc will be bourned by his/her employer?.Thanks
Hi in kingdom of Saudi arabia most of all nurses from Philippines 🇵🇭 and hide nurses from Africa and Czech Republic and America they're erning more than 10k us dollars without income taxes .
I wouldn’t recommend opting out. The NHS DB pension is one of the best ones in the UK. It’ll be difficult to find something that offers the same, for such a good ‘price’ essentially 💕
@@abidemirofiat7765 Lol, u speak your own version of English and not the Queen's English so get that into ur empty skull on your neck! Nigerians speak good English my foot!!

Hi Becca, I still don’t get the band system in the UK ,compared to that of Ghana. Does band 5 in UK means a diploma registered nurse in Gh?? Whr the band 6 is a degree nurse ???
@@beccabaetv the tax Code you explain is wrong. 1257L means your first £12570 is tax free so you pay tax on the rest of your annual pay and this is spread over 12 months
@@beccabaetv it’s your tax allowance which means you are on the basic tax so your first £12570 is tax free after that you pay 20% tax on the rest spread within 12 months
The question is, what then is remaining because am sure you still have bills and tax to pay every month. How then will you feed and take care of other personal things?
