@@OliWilford most def. Country music is supposed to be honest. You're supposed to believe what the person is saying . If it isn't honest , then what's it worth really? Benjamin Tod is brutally honest

I just really enjoy an artist that can write these deep songs. His message will stay relevant for generations. Not your typical dance to it for a month and throw it away.

From what I understand this song was written when the remaining members of Spit Shine(Benjamin, Ashley Mae, and Shannon Ridout) formed the Teardrop Trio in the wake of Nicholas Ridout's death. But as I listen to the song the lyrics seem to connect more to Ben and Ashley Mae's relationship. He mentions buying a new dress but most importantly he sings about drawings that change depending on his mood, and since Ashley is an excellent artist, I make the inference that the lyrics have a lot to do with Ashley and Ben's relationship. But that's just my view, keep the great videos coming and I'll keep watching!

Yeah it seems like he is talking to her about he's behavior after his friends passing. Maybe his in ability to really grieve in a healthy way.

New Subscriber, but been listening to the channel for a bit keep up the good work. Jarrod Morris “Panoramic View” is a good up beat one that I think would fit the channel along with Ryan Bingham “Southside of Heaven “ not upbeat but great story. Josh Meloy “Relive” is another good jam.

You should check out Willi Carlisle - Cheap Cocaine And Charlie Parr - Cheap Wine Both rather on the folky part of the spectrum but i assume you might like them. Something more countryish would be some songs by the devil makes three. Old number 7 is quite well kown. Graveyard or Do wrong right would be great as well Love your vids. Its great to see someone discover all this great music. Itˋs rare seeing people our age appreciating such artists

You can really tell that song was personal to him, it was a good listen. A good song that deals with depression and addiction in the story is Jamey Johnson, high cost of living. Whiskey Myers broken window serenade is another good one. I just saw you had aleady checked out a turnpike song, I am glad you liked it.
