A great year for music. I'd have been five months old then lol. Thank you for this Francis 👍 'Widows', one of the actresses died that year quite young. Shame really. The older woman was in 'Eastenders' as Cora. Vikki was our Eurovision entry, but we deserved a win that year. Shame it wasn't a big hit. Eeew Gary Glitter. I think at this point he was seen as a sad desperado, despite his Christmas hit some months before. My top favourite is the king himself Freddie Mercury with the amazing 'I Was Born To Love You' along with Phil Collins's great ballad 'One More Night' along with 'The Glamorous Life' by Sheila E, our last Eurovision winner Katrina and the Waves with the excellent 'Walking On Sunshine'. Throw in a wonderful charity record 'We Are The World' (I prefer this to Band Aid!) Vikii's excellent and underrated in the charts Eurovision entry 'Love Is' and shocking not a big hit here 'Duel' by Propoganda. Throw in 'Would I Lie To You' by The Eurythmics. Very strong list and too many to mention. 👍
I guess this is pure random but that April '85 sounds like an absolute negative selection to me with only few exceptions. Thank God the 80s music was much much better in average.
