Ukraine Invasion: Russian people start to feel the pinch of economic sanctions 

Its absolutely ridiculous that one man can throw millions of people into turmoil and destroy so many lives.

I never thought that Russia would be back to their old ways. The people are going to suffer much more before it's over.

I really appreciated those Russians who risked their lives to protest against the war...Salute to all of them..May the good Lord give peace on earth.Amen

this is why democracy is so important .......despite all its faults, its still the best system we've got.

We had a young Russian couple living next door to us for a few years and they were some of the nicest people I have ever met and very respectful for their age. Just saying sometimes the people aren't like their leaders.

The only difference between Russia and North Korea is that people can still escape Russia...for now. I have a feeling that might change in the near future.

As always I will send my love and prayers to the people Ukraine, but also to the innocent people of Russia who never wanted and even protected war, but are being punished unjustly by the sanctions for their leader's actions :(

I feel bad for the citizens as well. Most of them don’t want this war.

I hope this ends soon. If this goes on, there will come a time where they really will have enough and people will join together to face their government. But I hope it doesn't come to that as both sides, both innocents suffer. Let this end as quickly as possible.

There was a Russian store in my city that sold Russian bakery goods and food and things like that, they went out of business virtually overnight after Russia invaded Ukraine. The store is completely empty now and for rent. Crazy. Im in the USA

IMO leaving will not help that much. If the majority of Russian people stand up and say enough and demand that Putin step down they can make a positive change for themselves and Russia. Putin is a relic of the Soviet cold war era, there is no place for him or those like him today. The people of Russia deserve better.
