The people of Mykolaiv, Ukraine, face crushing uncertainty and terrifying challenges as they await the Russians' advance. CNN's Nick Paton Walsh reports #CNN #News
This woman was older… but in her St yrs she has to walk and leave her home, note a widow? When will we just do what is needed? A no fly zone if Putin crossed; it would be an order of death. I am not military person but many family members are. The choices are tough. Please what will happen if Putin is going after the old Russia. None of us gets to have it our way. Why are we tolerating this??
From Canada…and the world, I pray for the Ukrainian army to succeed in protecting your country!! I sit here and cannot fathom the treacherous war your country is facing… 😢
The man who said "this is my home" literally brought me to tears. You saw the look of resolve on his face. We need to do more. As the most powerful military on the planet we HAVE to stand against this in a REAL way. What side of history do you want to stand on?
No American I know wants their son/daughter to go there and fight. Will we spend American lives to stop Putin? Biden warned Zelensky. He move the American Embassy workers out and told Zelensky to move his people from the major cities to safety. Zelensky got on his TV and implied Biden was an old man who did not know. Surely Russian would never invade his country.....Zelensky was wrong. When one elects a comedian, someone who does not know when the leader of the free world and all behind him, our Pentagon, our Military Intelligence, tells him to do something he'd best do it. They all owe Biden an apology. Biden was right and many lives would have been saved had Zelensky listened and began moving people to Poland or where ever there was safety. Hindsight is 20/20 but sometimes you get what you vote for and it is inexperience. We have sent BILLIONS and BILLIONS at a time when our own people/children are suffering.
I lived in Ukraine a few months in 2003. They were the nicest people I have ever met, and back in those days it was one of the poorest countries in Europe. Still, they wanted to pay for us, invited us in their homes all the time... I wish I had been in the army or health care just so I could go help these people. After this is over, they will need to rebuild, if you're like me and wish you could have helped in their fight but couldn't, we can at least help them rebuild. It will be ine of the most rewarding experience you will ever have lived through. You won't regret it. Slava Ukraini! 🇺🇦
Thank you for that insight. I had a different “vision” and was told it was a nightmare for tourists with mugging and pickpockets. I think anyone contemplating a trip to Russia would do wonders instead to spend their money in Ukraine
I am absolutely heartbroken. It's like humanity never learns from its past mistakes and we keep repeating this circle of senseless violence. We must end all wars or wars will end us.
I feel so bad for Svetlana. I can't imagine her pain after seeing her husband die and in front of her. Just watching her walk away injured like that breaks my heart. These people shouldn't have to go through this. 😢
Poor Ukrainians, they were deceived and betrayed. Artificially prolong the tragedy, although the outcome was clear even before the war began. Intrigues on someone else's blood. Proud of you. Support you. Pray for you. Keep fingers for you.
I second that. "The first countries to recognize the Republic of Croatia as an independent and sovereign state from 26 June to 14 December 1991 were countries that were also not internationally recognized at that time - Slovenia, Lithuania, UKRAINE and Latvia." - Is line forever imbedded in the history of our parliament. They're proving their identity, AGAIN, as the world watches; rings a bell close to heart. And I have no doubt in my mind Ukrajina will defend itself, persevere and eventually prosper with OR without foreign boots. But excuse the pragmatism when I say, they can and will win this no matter what the world does or says. What else can they do... They're Ukrainians. No one can take that away.
Yes, every good heart in the world is aflame with the burning pain & strength of the Ukranian people. We are bearing witness to your strength. We won't forget your strength, courage & tenacity; a sacrifice you never deserved & should not have had to make.

The look on that man's face when the bus took off with his whole life is something I've never wanted to witness. That look will haunt me. Im so sorry that these people have to go through this. They just want to live peacefully
I've seen a lot of soldiers on the battlefield from many countries. These Ukrainians are by far the toughest I've seen. And the majority of them are civilians. That's what pride in your country can do. SLAVA UKRAINE 🇺🇦

Bully? Who was the bully when the Ukrainian military was slaughtering ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine? Or do you only know what main stream media tells you? You probably still think they're honest LOL... Ukraine is run by neo-nazis, and they've been genocide in the ethnic Russians in eastern Ukraine after the coup in 2014 when the government was overthrown by Soros backed neo-nazis and oligarchs
@@coasterhockygamingboy9549 I dont support the invasion. You can support the civilians. But ukraine startet this conflict. Not accepting that Donbas become an independent state. Ukraine prohibit russian language and russian friendly political party. So demand of independence is legit. And of course ukraine can not be a part of nato. Nato has also said unoffically no. Still ukraine and nato is flirting, seemingly just to provoke Russia. Zelinsky and his army is no heros. Suporting them only make the war longer and then create more suffering for ukrainian civilians. Sending them guns and bombs is just pure evil. Its virtue signaling and killing ukrainian civilians at the same time.

@@rambo-cambo3581 what is wrong with you? Arizona Phoenix just stated that she feels sorry for the elderly woman who lost her husband. How could any "normal" human not feel sorry about that. I'm 37 and have a 5 year old, but I don't think you have to have a child to witness what has been happening and have your heart be broken. I wish my country (USA) and Europe wouldn't be afraid of nuclear war and would end this war against world peace and Putin's crimes against humanity... Brutally attacking a sovereign nation and killing innocent people for no reason other than destabilizing NATO and the world. Putin can escalate, we will try to stop it but we can't stop much without provoking him. The Ukranian people, with what support we can give without making Putin's tantrum worse, are more than enough to endure this tragedy. If it comes to it & we have to engage him militarily, well hopefully his commanders will ignore the nuclear launch orders in the week or so it'll take NATO to smash any Russian regime related targets & utterly destroy their military. @@WiscoKnight0806 Chemical weapons, quite possibly. There are many levels of those Putin can use without killing the planet. Nukes are an absolute last resort. Any nuke hitting any way near Ukraine would be extremely bad for Russia too, not to mention Belarus. That said, Mutually Assured Destruction can't be ruled out given the circumstances. Chernobyl having a serious issue is a unfortunately a huge risk right now, even though it borders Belarus & is super close to Russia. If Putin wasn't so close to courting a nuclear disaster at Chernobyl I would have never considered Putin's nuclear talk to be more than a threat to NATO to not intervene militarily.
