So is it a cpl or an nd? Or is it just a fairly dark cpl that kind of acts as an nd? If so what nd rating would you reckon it would be equivalent to? Id like to use this lens for daytime video but im not sure if its a good choice since it has the weird proprietary lens mount, and I couldnt mount any nd filters to it. Thanks!
Nice review! But! Before New Year i bought Ulanzi's stepsister's lens kit - 4in1 Pholes. First - I has a thread of 14 mm. More precisely - m14 0.75 - where 14 is diameter, and 0.75 - step between threads. In kit there are: 16 mm lens (wide angle), 7.5 mm (ultra wide "fisheye"), telephoto - 64 mm and 25 mm 10X macro. All of them are of great quality. 16 mm has so insignificant optical distortions, so i don't pay any attention on them. The only problem is with fisheye - it has some unfocused areas in corners and some chromatic aberation. And 16 mm lens in this kit doesn't have CPL filter.
Hi thanks 🙏 Oright I haven’t seen that lens kit they do, will have to check it out, I do think there 16mm wide angle lens is good quality but compared to the sandmarc and beast grips wide lenses I have it’s just not as good, but again there lenses are like 4x more expensive, I haven’t had any experience with fisheye lenses but am thinking of trying them out to see what sort of creative shot I could get with them same with macro lenses, what are you planing on using the lens kit for ?
@@rickyeverett well, I'm going to shoot some video clips, and, of course for photo. Also I want to buy gimball for my phone in order to get steady shots without shaking.
@@rickyeverett I agree, sandmarc is hi-quality lenses, but with a high price. I paid for my kit 50.23$ I'm going to use it for video shooting and of course for mobile photography. I want to buy gimbal for smartphone (maybe Hohem or Snoppa) to get well stabilized clips without shaking.
Hi, I am using the same ulanzi case for my Huawei Mate 30 Pro. The case specifically said for 17mm screw thread lenses. 1) Your video title says 16mm but u were describing 17mm. Please clarify, I'm confused. 2) Can 16mm screw thread lenses of the same or other brands fit this case? 3) Can 17mm screw thread lenses of other brands fit this case?
Hi the lens is a 16mm in terms of its focal length not the thread diameter, it has a 17mm thread on it so you can mount that onto the case and the focal length is 16mm like there telephoto lens has a 65mm focal length but still has a 17mm thread on it, hope this helps 👍🏻
Scott Isitt: if you are using the anamorphic lens or macro lens. It’s best to use the Ulanzi case because it 17mm screws in which give best results. I used all Ulanzi lenses. I have the iPhone case which works really well. I’m happy with the quality.
Kaioshin Supreme Well, yeah, I've heard the case is better, but I wouldn’t be able to use my mic with that because covers too much of the area near the lightning connector. The clip is 17 mm, too, but I know it can be more of a pain to line up with the phone lens. Anyway, just weighing my options. Thanks for the responses!
