The Ulta Sale has never appealed to me. I don't like the idea that I would potentially have to shop on multiple days. Maybe if I lived next door to an Ulta... It also makes shopping on line difficult due to multiple shipments and purchase minimums.
If there was something you truly like you can do pickup and they can hold it for 5 days! So if you get one item each of those five days it’s worth driving there to pickup :)
It may not apply to you, but in case someone else sees this: if you're Platinum or Diamond level, you can get free shipping on the daily deals without a minimum.
I always forget Lorac is still around until I see it in the Ulta sales. It used to be all the rage on YT many years ago and it seems like nobody is talking about it anymore.
I recently graduated law school and I'm on an aggressive student loan repayment plan. So I won't be getting anything this sale. But I'm glad it's back! I do have the About Face foundation though, and I like it for a good everyday natural matte finish.
I’m or was part of the ULTA beauty board which is a group of their customers that they send surveys to in order to help improve their business. I recall a lot of people in the board influencing ULTA to change their 21 days of beauty to that last mess that it was. I hardly ever participated because if you are a for profit business especially a huge corporation, I want at least giftcards or free products for my input and time. I don’t care about entries into sweepstakes that I will probably never win and which might be fake. 😂 I also volunteer, have a partner, work full time and always have house tasks to do so I don’t have time. My point is that the board was the one who gave them the idea to mess it up last time. I’m glad they changed it back now.
The about face foundation is fantastic!!! Works well with all my skincare and primers from dry winter months to sweaty humid summer, great coverage, always wears well and priced so affordable already especially with the sale BUT what sold me initially was the FAIR - LIGHT OLIVE undertones. It’s hard to find a good fair olive match in the high end range but the drugstore was impossible and the AF is perfection especially if you tan quite a bit quickly I can go from F2O to L2O in a matter of days, which matches my neck perfectly now and then I just bronze more if need to, but most foundation ranges if they even have olive undertones have such a big jump between the fair and the next is usually light medium. So all in all an absolute favorite and highly recommend 🎉
@@a19enemy oh no! :( what's your skin type? do you use any primer or skin prep? I'm more on the dry side in the winter and use the watermelon dew drops or a thick moisturizer under it, and in the summer I can use the iconic london blurring primer
I'd like to try the Urban Decay Primer Potion , but Milani's eyeshadow primer is so good that I think I'll save my money for something else, like UD's Vice lipsticks or the Juvias's Place lippies.
Kelly!! The Bareminerals pressed powder foundation is soo good!! Its easy to use and looks so nice on my skin. I am 45 years old and i do have combo/oily skin. You can use this wet or dry which i find interesting. 😊
the TJ's version is the only elegant (chemical?) sunscreen that doesn't burn my eyes 😅 Although, the CVS clear zinc sunscreen was surprisingly great for me as an all day, full face/body sunscreen that dried down to matte. Our bodies react to sunscreen so differently, I totally get how it's very annoying when a hyped up product doesn't match up
I live in a tropical island and the Wow dream coat does work for me! You just need a lot of heat and tension and it looks so shiny. I don’t use it often cause I’ve heard ppl complaining of damage from the product.
I have the about face foundation, I love it, it's very natural and skin-like, if you like foundation like that, you will like it, it lasts around 8 hours on me, if I want it to last longer I just prep and set accordingly, i have dry skin, though.
I’m happy it is back but also bummed my bday month will come to an end in September. I know a lot of people have birthdays now and curious if you can combine bday rewards with the sale 😮😅 more power to September Virgo’s.
i wanna add that, during these sales, for the more popular items, the buy online pick up in store option wont work, but if its an item you really really want, use that option at midnight so you can lock in your items
I would be careful with the about faced foundation. If you have oily skin at all, even if it is only seasonally, the coverage doesn't last. Within about 4 hours the coverage is nearly gone. It is wild.
I love the about face foundation ❤ i have my summer and winter colors for my skin tone i always get super dark in the summer compared to what im in the winter time ❤
I really like the smashbox halo tinted moisturizer. It's pretty glowy but sheer. It's so so long lasting for a product like that. It's really nice to just toss on with your fingers, do your brows and mascara and go.
I am so excited that I will be in the US this time ☺️ I've seen so many videos about this sales over the past years and now I am able to see it in real life 😁
I'm not a fan of the 21 days of beauty. I'm not shopping 21 days in a row. If i want more than one itemi won't go multiple days. Basically i might get one item but that's it.
I actually love the tarte XL tubing mascara, My husband likes to watch my take it off because for me it does tube. Now the original tubing formula sucks 😂 But I am definitely thinking about grabbing the XL one
I do love the Kylie lip oil even though I feel like I’m the only person who likes it! All the reviews I’ve seen on RU-vid are people saying it’s too thin for a lip oil but I personally think it’s a really nice and luxe consistency. Plus the wand is chunky and nice to apply. I’ve used up a tube and already bought more :)
Is there another lip oil you use that you find it comparable to in terms of consistency? I’m just collecting info so I can talk myself out or into buying it. 😂
@@tinab18dawg I've not tried so many lip oils; the others I've tried are Elf and Clarins, and they are not comparable at all! The Kylie one is the only lip product I've used that doesn't have a sticky feeling. If I press my lips together it just feels so nice! And it's not too thin or too thick and super comfortable. I don't personally care for Kylie or the Kardashians in generally but the lip oil is slay lol. If you do want to spend your hard earned money on a product from them I think this is the one! And I think with the sale it would be worth it :)
Thanks for the video, Kelly! I do have 1 of the new Urban Decay singles in the color Fix. It's a great base color for those with fair skin. I'm quite satisfied with the application and performance. Also, thanks for mentioning the UD Vice lipsticks in the sale. I missed that when I looked at the site, and there's a color I want to try.m
I stopped to buy at Ulta last sale that they did change as you mentioned but I will definitely get some things from this sale.I love when they do this way that I can plan ahead what I should get what I should not.
Cali contour is my holy grail. I’ve gone through 2 of these and couldn’t convince myself to buy it again at full price. Beyond excited to see it in the sale and will absolutely buy it for the 3rd time!
God is a Woman is definitely a sweeter Glossier You / Clean Radiant Nectar to me too! Probably because all of these have Ambrette/Musk/Ambroxan notes, and RN/GIAW both have pear and orris in them. If you want something a little less sweet with the pear try Radiant Nectar! (I've owned all of these in the past haha)
I have a weird issue with the about-face foundation where it just doesn’t seem to want to spread away from the spots I put the doe-foot on. Happened with skin care and SPF on, with a brush or sponge… kept trying to get even coverage and eventually returned it. But besides that it was a great formula and I’m tempted to buy it at 50% off
@@tonya5762yesss!!! I am so excited to try the new one bc I've heard it's so much better than the OG version and I actually do like the OG one! So very excited to try the new version for 50% off!!!
I hated the original tarte “tubing” mascara, which flaked , smudged, and didn’t tube, but I love the XL. I like it as much or more than the Thrive tubing mascara, which used to be my favorite
I do like the wow dream coat but I have a really lot of hair so travel size isn't worth it. That being said, i have to really really saturate each section for results.
I plan on shopping sept. 16 and 18. I want the indie lee coq-10 toner, bumble and bumble heat protectant, and the volition mushroom serum. No makeup for me this sale i dont think.
Thanks Kelly for an excellent review of 21 days of Ulta Beauty! Just one I think you’d enjoy is the Cosrx six peptide serum. I love this products. Makes my skin so soft and dewy, ready to receive other skincare. I feel it boosts the results I get from the other skincare whatever it be that I use along with it. Especially other peptide products. I feel it boosts their firming ability. I use it with other Cosrx products like the snail mucin, and Galactomyces products and top it off with Peach & Lily peptide cream or Cosrx snail mucin cream. Great results! Enjoy your Labor Day weekend Kelly and everyone out there! Stay safe! Good gosh summer is almost over! Sorry kids! Thanks again Kelly for the review, may I say ya look so pretty and cool, sophisticated almost with your pretty hair pulled back and the sultry eye! Very becoming! 🥰❤️🙏🏻📚✂️🚌📓📝
Yes I like it. Its just simple and moisturizing, so don't expect anything miraculous. However I usually like simple gel eye moisturizers yet this cream is quite nice to use too.
I have the split pan kvd bronzer and it’s like a balm super dewy super sheer not a fan picks up my makeup underneath to build it up enough to be visible
i thought i was going crazy! i’m on LI and the colorwow stuff has NEVER worked. it’s so nasty and gross right now, the thought of using any heat is miserable
Question- Would you say that R.E.M's fembot eyeshadow is similar in color/color shift to Urban Decay's Moondust Shadow in Solstice? I've been wanting to get both, but I would only get one if they look basically the same applied. I'm probably only a shade or two lighter than you are for reference.
That Bare Minerals pressed powder foundation looked horrible on me and i like other pressed powder foundations, as well as the loose BM one so I don't recommend it.
The other day, Ulta had a QR code to see all the 21 days offerings but when I used it, the document that downloaded was blank. Now I don't see the QR code... where can I find all of the offerings instead of a preview so I can budget for what I'd like to pick up?
Kelly, would you please clarify when you say to use Olaplex 3 “To a T.” Do you only use it for a minimum of 10 minutes? How frequently do you use it? Please help. I would like to try but the customer comments are concerning. Thanks!
Yes of course! They say that you should use it on clean damp hair (I usually use it in the shower AFTER shampoo) and leave it in for minimum of 10 minutes. After that, I follow up with another shampoo to remove the product and then condition as normal :)
@@KellyGooch Thank you for your reply. Does it matter which shampoo or conditioner you follow up with to remove the product or do you use the Olaplex shampoo and conditioner? Thanks again!
I never really understood this sale. I have to place an order every day if I like items on different days? It just seems like its a waste of packaging. Do I pay for shipping everyday? Help me understand . Love the fact its 50% off. Love your videos!
I don't think they listened to us I think so many people like myself didn't buy from that sale because of the change. I think they lost thousands of dollars and that is why they changed it back.
That is listening to feedback. They’re reading comments, analyzing data etc. if you’re getting negative feedback and change it back to the way people originally liked it, that’s called “listening.”
I didn’t see very much that I wanted I hope they have some surprises lol 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 Love Lancome foundation and the SMASHBOX Blush/bronzer pallets are exceptional one of my favorites! Pink satisfaction I think and the back to Cali are perfect bronzer shades for my fair/ light skin 🤍🤍🤍🤍
