I m looking at it , the big rock 3s , the granite , the mjx 10208 and I saw a wl toys truck that looked like it was landing super nice and $150 ish I believe , 1/10 size I believe . I forge the numbers but was watching a bunch of your channel the other evening about wl toys .

I do t like that antenna wire sticking out to be cracked off . I do like the rlaarlo cf Omni terminator antenna and it’s easy to protect that tip , lol . I ve broke a few . I guess 32mm is the amount of wire for 2.4 GHz .

I've been torn between the granite, big rock or the Mt-10. I've read about lot of issues with arrma's electronics and motor mount . This mt-10 looks great and seems much more durable and reliable than it's competitors, keeping more money in my pocket in the long run. Great video. Keep them coming. I'm going team associated.

I hope you went with the MT10. Long term durability seems to be on the MT10 side for sure. Just the differential makes a huge difference. My V3 Granite has been problematic with its slipper clutch. And other things, including the driveshafts

What was the outcome on the motor mount? You said it’s a ‘budget’ RTR but it doesn’t come with battery or charger. What would your recommendation be for suitable battery and charger to pair with this kit if buying it as a first RC and have nothing yet?

I've had this for a few months. Broke a front arm by hitting a soccer ball size lump of ice full speed on the first week. Today I had to replace a wheel bearing. Also the servo gears died a week ago. Very reliable, considering I bash it almost every day for an hour or two. Handles quite well. It is a very good little truck and reasonably priced. Spare parts are reasonably priced and locally available too. Very good I would say.

I don’t so skateparks or concrete and seen you got smart as well . The grass has been so much more friendly to the cars coming off a ramp . I don’t go crazy with the jumps and feel they all have a comfortable height to jump . Some more than others but 6-12ft high seems standard so far on the cars I’ve tried .

I've been in the hobby for 21 years, I have 300+ models, mostly Tamiya and Kyosho, among other brands, but I don't have a single Team Associated. The Rival MT10 for price and from what I have seen in different videos draws my attention ... It seems robust, easy to repair and maintain, it is quite fast and its appearance does not go unnoticed. Maybe it's time to buy my first Team Associated.

The mt10 is an excellent 3s basher and it's one of the cheaper ones. It's built tough, looks great and performs flawlessly. You will like this one 😎👍

I’m in the same boat as you haha (I don’t have 300+ models tho) my Rival MT10 will be delivered today. I primary got this for my dogs to chase in the backyard and as a backup for my friends to use. Can’t wait to run it today!

I got one of these a while back Rik and they are brilliant. I had an issue with mine. The Chassis Snapped and I didn't even jump it that much. Team Associated after sales was very poor and it cost me £40 to repair but now it's super awesome.

Great video Ricky my favourite so far. You really did punish it,the MT10 was my first real RC so I've not got a lot to compare it too ,but I love it ,and the price is right for me CHEERS MATE.

Great vid as always. See the driving skills are getting impressive now! Not comparable to the Quantum as big price difference. I think Quantum is near to Ftx brushless Caranage. Saying that I wish I'd saved for this over the Quantum, seems likely well worth the extra £100. Got 28MPH on my Quantum on 2S GPS run on 50c battery.

Thanks Dominic. Would advise most now to save a little extra and try and go for this as in the long run will be the better truck! Just my opinion i did enjoy the quantum buts its certainly not a bashing beast like this!

I've got two of em incase one breaks but all I e broken is a stopped spur gear, think the motor mount went loose and the spline drive cup. Lock tire all metal on metal parts. No issues so far. Rock solid truck. Beats my Notorious v5 hands down for durability.

I am currently trying to correct a mistake I made. Bought a remo hobby m-max, and every piece of plastic was so brittle it kept breaking. Now I have upgraded a lot of different parts on it and it is now holding up pretty well. I think I need to make a video about it in its current form…

It really took some bad landings. Would love to see a video of it performance during some dirt bashing and see how it handles rougher terrain. But this truck is now definitely on my watch list.

Any RC will get A LOT of damage on these concrete landings. That's why I don't do that anymore. I don't care what rc it is. It will get damaged badly. Good video.

Btw, the Quantum is nice but good grief do you have to be careful with it. I've got the normal one (stripped for spares now) & the quantum + & the + is definitely the better designed RC imho..

My friend has it and i have the arrma granite blx 4x4 v3. I will say the truth. I believe granites throttle hands way better than rivals throttle. But rival has not issues with driveshafts provably cause of the center diff. While i had to upgrade mine to granite in order to not have problems. Rivals servo only lasted literally 5 minutes at my friends rival, no cap, but they replaced it for free with an upgraded one that still works perfect! My granites servo died after four months, they also replaced it. I think my friend's case was just unique, he was unlucky. Anyways, we bash them a lot and still havent broken something else. Both are amazing 3s monster trucks!!!!

Its a really compelling proposition at a great price. Parts availability is decent (at least in the UK) and it doesnt seem to have many weak points. Get some RPMs, upgrade the servo and you're sorted. Just like an Arrma. Only with a better looking body, lights, sway bars, centre diff and a much lower price........and thats coming from someone who loves his Big Rock (and quite likes his Vorteks)

Hey Pat Marcus so you would recommend this truck?, I know you are an Arrma man (Arrma forum). I am very tempted to add it to my fleet alongside my BR, Senton and Typhon. I have heard the A arms can be a bit weak but this review and the one Tomley did it was bashed hard and no A arms were broken.

@@TheflyingkiwiRC I’m very tempted, following this and Tomley’s review. If I do, I’d probably just order the RPMs anyway….but then I’d do that with every Arrma, anyway. I realise it’s gonna be slower than the Arrmas. Top speed seems to be typically around 40mph rather than 48-50mph (which is expected from the Arrma 3S line) - just as BeyondRC recorded in this video. Again, I’m not sure that matters for a basher. Are they a good price in NZ, too ?

@@patmarcus172 Yeah they are $130 less than an Arrma. $600NZ vs $730NZ. I'm tempted too I love my Arrmas but I do seem to work on them a lot. I'd be interested to see how a Team Associates holds. The slower speed doesn't bother me at all.

I know I ll get a good take in the vehicle on this channel 👍. So the arms break , the motor mount is allegedly suspect and what else ? Darn if they don’t leave crap pieces in to sell upgrades the cars should come with . Especially arrma servos 😂. I mean cmon man . The complaints about arrma servos going bad for years is going unnoticed ?

@@beyondRC I just got the losi tenacity DB pro and it came with the spektrum Dx2e its funky and not good funky lol.Luckly i have a DX3 just sitting so perfect match.Keep the wheels down and carry ON mate.

@@jayhow997 No the Maxx doesn't warrant the price tag. Buy the Maxx you still need to plumb up for the the wide kit because it rolls like a turtle. Seems the Rival MT10 handles a lot better at half the price.

@@TheflyingkiwiRC thats why I think the max should be included in the line up to show how good these cheaper ones are. I know his doing a 3s only vehicle review but I'm also looking at class size rather than just maximum cell capability because all 3 are similar style of chassis wheelbase and vehicle type. It helps those that want a max but could better of with one of these and save the money to upgrade the electronics later on down the road and still be better off.

Nice video, but every time it landed I cringed, I don't like durability tests (I have seen worse though, dumb people just smashing their RCs to bits). I myself am a careful and slow driver, thus, I haven't broken my Wltoys 144001 yet (save for a stripped servo which prompted me to replace all the electrics except for the stock motor).

Not all of us like slamming our RC vehicles into concrete. With that said, I will throw my RC vehicles 26ft high into the air, as long as I land on grass/dirt. I don't care what model it is. Concrete landing does A LOT of damage. Not worth it.

@@beyondRC price is not that different. Durability is the same. I think it come down to which one you like the look of more…. And maybe parts/upgrade availability

Main difference is the Granite is 10mph faster. All the Arrma 3s range will do 45+mphout of the box. But with the MT10 you get a centre diff and metal drivetrain. And in the end a basher needs torque not top line speed.

@@TheflyingkiwiRC an 80-120amp esc and a cheap 3660 will get it as fast as or faster and this truck has a center diff and sway bars, they definitely make a difference. I got the Helion Avenge over 2 yrs ago. Same design. Still love it, still run it quite often. 👍

@@cds1223 thanks do you know easy is it to work on? Maintenance will still need to be done. I'm very close to buying one. I have become very familiar with working on the Arrma 3s trucks and they are pretty easy to work on IMO.

You made an Awesome Review of the Best RC 1/10 Basher, (in my opinion), that's available Right Now👌👌👌👌👌 I saw Phil Harrison, from ( #TomleyRC ) beat the Crap out of it (maybe a tiny bit 🤏 more hard) and your Review just confirmed what I Already knew👌👌👌 I don't know if you or Phil made the WD40 Treatment (24 hours submersion plastic parts on WD40), but if not oh man, with the Treatment it will be indestructible 😎 Congrats for the Video/Review and Hope to see more of "the kind". You know, I consider the Skate Park Beatings the Ultimate analysis of an RC car; you already know about motors, esc, radios, shocks, I mean things that if are wrong we can upgrade easily but the Car Struture/ Chassis/"Bones" are very important ,(that one just seems to fall like the cats... on the 4 wheels 😆). I know it's very Expensive for you guys but I honestly believe that pays; that's what RC guys like me and others wanna know; "Will it last or not ?"🙂 PS Man, just tell me what happened to the motor; from my experience it's just loose due Fall Vibrations but I can get my heart broke...😅 😉
