I can honestly say here, I have a Japanese ditto breeding with a galarian slowpoke to get 2 shinies, I got the first one in 257 eggs but the 2nd one is being a pain to get as I've hatched nearly 600 eggs since the first shiny and not gotten another one since, even though I have the shiny charm and oval charm with a flame body coalossal and the different language ditto but i'm still not getting the shiny, i'm not doing anything wrong, so I don't get why i'm not getting the shiny

@@TheShockinator1000 im pretty sure u got it already since its been a month lol but each egg is 1 in 500 or so odds (meaning the 2nd egg isnt gonna be 2 in 500, 3rd egg isnt gonna be 3 in 500 and so on). The masuda method lowers the odds but is still pure luck as i have hatched shiny pokemon in as low as 3 eggs and as high as 1,200 eggs :/ it all depends how many u breed a day as well. Personally, im breeding 100 eggs a day so it wont be so overwhelming and feel like a chore after a day or 2 of nonstop breeding. Just keep going and dont give up! :)

@@mz_skittles-1034 i have given up cause my luck getting shiny pokemon is literally trash, regardless what i do i rare get them, yes it is 1 in 512 chance each egg and getting 1 shiny in over 1000 eggs is not good for my liking in the shiny charm masuda method, why i looked on pokemon home to see if any shinies were there and just took them for pokemon i didn't need in my inventory for never using them

@@TheShockinator1000 what pokemon were u trying to hatch? I have noticed that starters take forever. I always get them around 800 to 930 eggs and dragon types just take forever to hatch making it feel like more eggs than usual. Also, make sure its pokemon from 2 different regions by double checking the pokemon's summary right before putting them in the daycare. There r times when i put 2 in the daycare with the same region. I put a japanese ditto and japanese vulpix with an english nickname together 4 months ago and didnt notice until i reached around 3000 eggs xD another thing is wat adrive said in the video. Alot of people think u can breed 5 eggs and just keep soft resetting until it comes out shiny and this is false. Eggs r determined shiny or not as soon as u get them from the nursery lady. If ur 5 eggs doesnt come out shiny, it will never be shiny.

I’m not saying it’s right but I do understand why. This was a good move for the community now more adult and casual players are able to compete with everyone else without having to neglect their real life responsibilities, plus less hacked Pokemon its a win/win.

People have been using Link Trade Code; (4448) do trade international dittos. Just make sure to send a ditto to the next guy too. I got mine in 3 trades

The dude that you get the shiny charm from also gives you a catching charm if you haven’t completed your Pokédex. It increases the chance of getting a critical catch. :)

The best way to get a foreign ditto: go find some friends who play a different language version game, SR for a ditto with high IVs, then battle it with your foreign friends, then trade your ditto with each other

i have heard it still works if the person is playing the game in another language even if they're in the same region as you, geographically. so if someone didn't have switch online, but had another friend with a switch irl, you can just set up another profile & start the game in another language.

It only works on pokemons with two abilities that are not HA. (eg: Drampa’s Berserk or Sap Sipper) You can use the ability capsule if you have Sap Sipper Drampa but prefer Berserk Drampa but never to Cloud Nine Drampa. PS: Good news to you, this upcoming DLC has been said that there is a Hidden Ability Capsule. ;)

This helped so much! Got all the items/components (except shiny charm) in about 45 mins, and even after using two different 4/6 IV Dittos, I got my perfect IV Applin, after a few hours. Now to find the hidden ability.

If Destiny Knot passes down 5 of 6 IVs, could you use the EV training items to guarantee a stat from one parent, while the Destiny Knot guarantees the other 5?

The Lucky Egg does not have, and never has, an effect on breeding. It is purely for experience gain, 50% to be exact.

this is how you get lucky egg: travel to Hulbury and talk to the chef behind the counter at the Seafood Restaurant. He will give you three errands to run. The third will reward you with a Lucky Egg. Maybe you have to progress in story during errands. I did it after story.

Yes. From all the time I've spent trying to get Sucker Punch and Hi Jump Kick on my hidden ability, G-Max, male Cinderace today (literally my first time ever trying to breed pokemon in my life), all the time I spent googling shit, trying to breed a female scorbunny so I could get one with both the moves on it, I can definitively say it does have to be the exact same species/evolutionary stage. I know I butchered that explanation, but it's still hella confusing to me and hard to put into words. Also, I'm lazy and don't wanna type a lot. But to answer your question, yes. I'm 99% positive it does.

Pretty good guide man. Definitely using breeding as my main method of shiny hunting some mons. I will mention that having a flame body mon doesn't feel necessary this gen. I think the step count is extremely low now. I'd just hit up one or two dens and then head back to the breeders. By then, a few eggs will have hatched and I can pick up some more.

12:37 I have been breeding for a competitive dreepy for a long time and the dreepy that I originally used had the standard ability, infiltrator and eventually i got one with the ability cursed body. The only time I changed the Pokémon to breed was when I got a better one from an egg

I bred 3 perfect Pokemon last night!! I used the perfect G-Max Eevee to breed my perfect Cufant and Grookey, then used my perfect Grookey to breed my perfect Applin. Did it pretty quickly too!

People often are mistaken trough the fact "Illegal pokemon corrupt your game" which is totally fake, as an Pkhex user I can assure you is IMPOSSIBLE to trade and Illegal pokemon, the real term is "illegitimate" wich means the pokemon has been generated from and external program. Again, this won't affect your game so it's really silly to say "be careful with illegal pokémon" since you can't even have one if you're not the owner.

I'm not really against it since it won't ruin your game. My only concern, and it might be dumb, is what if someday we all wanted to go to a big, official, tournament for money or something. Would nintendo be able to tell if someone had an "illegitimate" pokemon??? And say they're disqualified? Thats the only worry that ran through my head, but how would they even tell? 🤣

@@christianorellana7761 Nature mints do not actually change the nature, i.e. Jolly (+Spe, -SpA) -> Timid (+Spe, -Atk), it only changes the stats that are affected, i.e. Jolly (+Spe, -SpA) -> Jolly (+Spe, -Atk). If you want to breed with a Pokemon, it has to have the nature you want, it will not pass down a nature gained from a nature mint, i.e. a Ditto and Corviknight both with Timid nature will only produce offspring with a Timid nature, even if you use Jolly mints on both Pokemon.

I can almost guarantee that nature mints and bottle caps will not transfer the stats into Pokemon Home, just like they didn't when transferred to Pokemon Bank. They do not change the Pokemon itself, they merely make it act like it has a certain nature or perfect stats, so using mints and bottle caps does not make a permanent competitive Pokemon, only one until the next generation comes out.

Actually, you can pass down the G-Max DNA to the offspring, it just rarely happens. I was able to breed a G-Max Charmander.
