Ok, listen up guys and gals. The parts being used are more than likely a HPI or Tamiya 1/10 touring rc car shock tower for the bottom (U) shaped piece and the upper parts that say "Graphite" are more than likely from a 1/10 team Losi stadium truck consisting of the front bulk head and cross hinge bar from the suspension of said RC truck... Now theirs an easier way to do this and I'll try my best to explain without to much detail. (#1) Rc Car shocks (NO SHORTER THAN 125mm!!!) They can be found on Ebay by searching "125mm Rc Shocks" get atleast 2 of them $10-15 (#2) Hardware store or online buy (x2) "U Bracket's" $4 .The base of the bracket will have 1 hole and the sides will have 2 holes. Use the 1 hole flat bottom side to mount on the back of the brakes pedal and the other to the back part of the pedal base. The sides with the 2 holes is where you'll put a bolt through the shock end cap hole on both Brackets. Find the hardware that will fit the holes on the end of the shocks and as well the U-Brackets (More than likely M3 bolts and nuts) If their is any side to side play in the shock than use some spacers. Make sure that when you press the brake flat as far as it will go that the shock is not bottoming out before the brake has gone all the way down. You can use the threaded body of the shock to increase the amount of pressure needed to push the brake and if that isn't enough you can change the spring rate and even to a heavier shock oil. Once you get the shocks and hardware you'll begin to see what I'm on about and it'll come to you on how to mount this all up. Remember before you drill any holes in the base to make sure where you're gonna mount it that the shock won't bottom out before the brake bottoms out but as long as you use a minimal (125mm) shock length you should be fine. You can do this at no less than $15-20 Total. This end to Pedal Base >>>>> U-----------IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII-U

You're welcome Bud if you have any questions about this setup just ask and I'll help the best I can. I'll be posting a video of how to do this as soon as I can get the funds together to get the hardware I need, so when I do I'll post a link where you guy's can go and see how it's done.

@@neptuned4746 Thanks for this awesome explanation! Does it matter wich rc shock you use? I've read that you get the hydrolic feel due to the oil in the shocks. Do they mostly come pre filled or do you have to fill them yourself? I'v found these shocks: www.ebay.com/itm/Alum-87-125mm-Shock-Absorber-AX31136-Silver-For-RC-Axial-Racing-Yeti-Rock-Racer/272705897651?hash=item3f7e89c4b3:g:vX4AAOSwfpVZN5ys:rk:6:pf:0 And these u-brackets: www.ebay.com/itm/1Pcs-Short-U-Shaped-Bracket-Steering-Gear-Bracket-Robot-PTZ-Hot-Sale/323347138222?hash=item4b48fdc6ae:g:yMcAAOSw6EhUN6vJ:rk:3:pf:0 Do you think the mod will feel good with these parts? Thanks!

@@stijnbrandsen8817 That's actually to the exact same parts I used. Same Axial Shocks and same Brackets exactly. And yes remember to make sure to test fit everything so that when the brake completely is pressed that the shock doesn't bottom out but has a little gap. I think you got it bud ;) Good luck. If you run into any problems feel free to ask. P.S yes shock does matter (A minimal 125mm shock) and yes it's already a pre built shock and the feel is great.

To using RC car shocks for pedals is shoking! :D I just going to build my own pedal set, which will be slightly more complex, than this, but I would never ever figure out there are RC shocks are suitable for the job. I looked up some on Amazon and boy! There are some juicy stuff there. Dampning controlled shock, with adjustable springs? This is the best idea ever! Thanks for the video!

I like the general design of this mod. I think the challenge will be sourcing the hardware for this mod but thanks for sharing.

@550stanley Yes it's filled, No idea the weight as I guess it's pretty viscous because the pedal is firm and rebounds quickly. I'll email the guy and see if he remembers who I bought it from

Hey mate! how close is this setup feeling to hydraulic break in your opinion. Is there actually any similarity or it's kinda different?

Hi m8 have you calibrated your pedals to see that they are working cause I done the rc shock mod not my t500rs pedals with 100mm rc shocks I put 1 on clucth which maps fine. I also put 1 rc shock on brake with 100mm rc shock and it did map but after while I noticed it wasent working and didn't map on project cars calbitate test. I'm gona try it with 125 mm hopefully it will map on the brake test. Plz let me no what you think and died your pedals map?

Even this is wrong build as a brake. Just clutch set up, but not the right brake config. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-8CQmTR5GjCA.html What than talk about that one... all the same. I know the diff dude)
