Hulk punching Demon Hulk is actually a bit more literal. As Banner actually just has multiple personality disorder and after the Gamma bomb exploded on him, it opened a "Green" door thingy and basically that gave each personality a literal form. Savage Hulk is the abused child Banner was, easily angered; seems like always throwing a tantrum and speaks like a child. Joe Fixit signifies the teenage angst Banner was never able to really dwell too much into. Weaker than Savage Hulk (As he is not easily angered), likes gambling, women, wearing suits and is all around very cunning. Professor Hulk, the adult, amongst all the Hulk he is the most open minded, understanding and forgiving. The perfect balance of Hulk and Banner but a weaker version than the Savage Hulk. Then there is Immortal/Devil Hulk surprisingly his purpose is to love Banner, and this was a persona that Banner locked up in his mind showing the readers how much Banner really hated himself. Is now pretty much the mastermind in Banner's mind (Able switch around different Hulk persona's depending on the situation; After Banner was surrounded he switches Banner's mind with Joe Fixit and allowed Joe Fixit to take control of Banner's body). This is a part of the Hulk that people don't really know much about, his mindscape is more than just 5 persona's as well, these are just the dominant persona's there are literal hundreds maybe thousands of Hulks locked up in his head.
I remember in school picking up a graphic novel they had for some reason of the hulk and multiple man, and the hulk ended up splitting into a million personalities. I wonder why the MCU didnt wanna do a plotline like this...
The Ultimate Destruction plot is kinda like the plot for an episode of the 90s Hulk cartoon. Sure, it's there, but it's not REALLY why you're watching the episode. It just sort of justifies the Hulk ass whooping.
You're not alone. This game could be really tough at times. The time attacks were tougher than any of the boss fights, and the military got annoying real quick. They encourage you to smash stuff for more points, but the more you destroy the quicker they send out the military. It's kinda like the stars in GTA or the notoriety in Assassin's Creed. Not an easy game to get through.
The game is obscenely difficult. Once the military bears down on you it gets ridiculous and his recovery time after being uppercut is soooo laggy. But god it’s fun.
Watching these videos, I'm shocked how large Hulk's rogue's gallery is. The only baddies of his I can name are Leader, Abomination, Z'kxxx, and Maestro. Heck, and I wouldn't even know about that electro guy except I had that toy growing up.
Ultimate Destruction is the best hulk game to exist. My Ps2 copy no longer works because its the game Ive played the absolute most. The bosses were badass, the story was dope. Devil Hulk was probably my favorite boss.
I can tell you are going to trash the 2008 game-- but I'm just gonna say it. That game was fun af. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but the fact that you got to go around chucking citizens off the empire State building, or into the river, or with a light post was just so dang fun. Picking up trees and whacking robot enemies with em. The missions were really fun too.
The level of destruction was very impressive. I loved lodging cars into the sides of buildings. ... That's about the only positive I can give it though. The U-Foes were cool, but underutilized. Ultimate Destruction is superior in every other way though. Really wish for a UD 2 with Red Faction Guerrilla level destruction physics.
vin cam imma go review them to see if they’re better than the DC films Ultimate Avengers- 6/10 great opening scene, but bland film Invincible IronMan- 0/10 no good redeeming qualities, they switch to this 3D artstyle on every action scene AND IT LOOKS TERRIBLE Ultimate Avengers 2- 0/10 BAD ANIMATION AND IRON MAN GETTING DEFEATED BY WOODEN LOGS Doctor Strange- 5/10 skip this one it’s just the 2016 film Hulk Vs. Thor- 6/10 eh Hulk Vs. Wolverine- 7/10 Steve Blum’s in this film, can’t argue with that Planet Hulk- 6/10 you’re better off just watching Thor Ragnarok The Next Avengers- 5.7/10 i have no interest in this film at all but at least it’s not complete garbage Thor: Tales of Asgard- 5/10 just dont let’s add in the Black Panther motion comics to the mix since it was gonna be a movie Black Panther- 7.8/10 better than the 2018 film for sure just watch DC animated films they’re better
This is without a doubt my favorite superhero game of all time. this is what I think of when I think of an excellent Hulk game. Open world, lots of way to smash stuff, environmental destruction, satisfying superattacks, pretty epic bossfights. it's not the best made superhero game, it has a lot of flaws. But in terms of sheer fun, this is the one I consider my favorite. If they ever make a sequel to this (or even a remake with some updates), I would instantly buy it again. Nice video!
TerrorOfTalos in terms of quality I would say arkham city. Even tho I am not really a fan of batman, I just cannot deny how amazingly well made that game is. :)
I miss Radical Entertainment. Sure, they weren't the best when it comes to stories, but MAN did they nail it in the gameplay department, which to me matters more.
God damn this and Ultimate Spider-Man were my entire childhood (at least in terms of Marvel series) I really wish we got a new solo Hulk game, that or at least bring back a comic book style game like Ult. Spidey. At least we have insomniacs spiderman for now, cant wait for 2 to come out for pc somewhere in the future.
Lol, like anyone played The Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction for the story. My first playthrough I didn't even pay attention to it until the moment when Hulk had to break out of the facility. Also, no, you aren't bad. This game really is that hard. The General Ross boss fight was insane.
You know Xavier, you don't have to play Prototype. The story takes place in New York, with Alex Mercer, a confused individual who doesn't know Who he is or where he's from, he ends up in a lab. So Alex escapes the lab and encounters Blackwatch, he tries to escape but gets mowed down with bullets but Alex doesn't die from this he gets up in disbelief and books it. I'll name all the powers he has, he's a strong character. He has super strength and super speed and durability an obscene healing factor the ability to make weapons from his body, the ability to become different people and the disturbing ability to literally consume people and take their memories.
It's criminal how underutilized Hulk and his villains are being in the MCU. Hulk never got a third solo film, The Leader never showed up and Betty must've been permanently snapped out of existence by Thanos. It's official, the realms of film and video games have failed to uphold The Hulk's legacy...But the realm of animation, on the other hand has had quite a few successes; not just with Hulkster but with nearly ALL of Marvel's characters. You have the Planet Hulk animated movie, the Hulk Vs. double feature, the INCOMPARABLE Avengers: EMH cartoon, Thor: Tales of Asgard and of course, Spectacular Spider-Man. Sure, the animated universe has had plenty of failures; like Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers: Assemble, that lackluster Guardians of the Galaxy cartoon and...(shudders) Super Hero Squad. But in my eyes, Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes had the better incarnations of MCU charatcers; better Thor, better Captain America, better Black Panther, better Ultron...even a much better Hulk. What do you think
Ditch the ponytail. I have some instructions on how to do so 1. Get sum scissors 2: Snip it off 3. Get a Copy of “One More Day” 4. Light the copy on fire 5. Toss the Ponytail in the fire 6. Realize you’ve burned your house down 7. Make apology cupcakes until 4:58 on a school night 8. Cover the House Wreckage with the cupcakes 9. Be very confused at this comment and wonder “Why did I listen to this 14 year old..?”
I love how you could go to a car dealership, grab one of them big balloon mascots, and if you were holding it while falling you would fall slower. Funny shit to do.
It was very difficult but I was the only one among my friends and family to beat it at the hardest level. I guess cause I am a fan it made it that much easier for me to be my favorite Marvel Character.
Now, it did take me playing at at 7 years old for a year, taking a 13 year break and coming back, but I finally found all comics, hints, beat the game on normal and then hard. It is fucking tough as shit bro. But the satisfaction of beating such a hard game is nice
I've had this game since I was a kid and I've never actually beaten it. Back in the day I really sucked at it, so I just kinda fucked around and ruined the NPC's days any time I played. Haven't played it in years though, I think I'm gonna go give it another shot.
I always thought that out of place cutscene was to show the helicopter actually PICKING UP the reactor, you can't beat up the helicopter beforehand because you need to follow it to the reactor.
Xavier I know you don’t want to be typecast as the turkey sandwich channel, but would you ever consider streaming the Spider-Man 2 bonus boss fight where you fight Doc Ock, Rhino, Shocker, and Calypso? You have to do the bonus challenges in Shocker’s first warehouse fight after completing the game including the final chapter after the last boss fight. It’s a real challenge that requires strategic thinking and an understanding of the bosses fighting styles and how and where they can move in the warehouse. If you haven’t already done it before and you’re interested in at least looking at it just reply and I can fill you in on stuff you need to know about it.
I actually wore out a Xbox controller playing this back when it came out. And yeah, when I first played it I remember getting stuck a few times. But once you play it a few times it's not that hard. Really loved this game, haven't played it in a while. Wish it was rereleased somehow. I do agree it would have benefited from another area, or at least more variety in the city buildings. Honestly don't even remember the story. Was too young to care back then lol. This game is definitely responsible for my love of huge muscle bound oily green men.... Wait he wasn't oily was he?
Hey Xavier I think you should do your fav superhero movies like you did with the retrospective of spiderman and hulk games I think it would be neat something new and it's not always gonna be spiderman so you have more freedom to choose what to review.
But you can play as Bruce. Granted it’s basically a skin but you have a smaller hitbox if I remember correctly. And it’s hilarious. I remember fighting the devil hulk with the Bruce skin and thinking that I have achieved true zen.
Also, I always felt weird about being able to shoot a bunch of unconscious criminals with a 9mm cannon and a fucking machine gun ( Batman: Arkham Knight)
I found the game really easy and never died once to any of the bosses. The one mission that tripped me up, however, was the one where you have to destroy those convoys. So many tanks and shells... The one thing I wished this game would let you do is play with a skin of the Devil Hulk. Now that would have been sick. You can push Select while standing still to yell. Really funny to do next to civilians.
