same here. I always forget this at the start of E2. It just never wants to stick around in my memory and I end up running around like a headless chicken xD

I can't believe a friend of mine just asked me about this level and where to find the red key, and I ended up here to find out... never even knew myself, and I'm an oldschooler! I'm ashamed... but also amazed how to-the-point and informative your videos are, explaining every detail but never assuming you're an idiot. And wow, this is 9 years old now? Nice.

I just 100% the entirety of episode 1 for the first time on hurt me plenty (yes, I'm a woos) and am now moving on to episode 2. You're guides are seriously helpful and entertaining.
@@BigMacDavis I"ve played Doom for the first time a year ago on Hey, not too rough because it was my first shooter game (which I despised for years until I played Doom) and then I played it again on Hurt me plenty two months later. Immediately after I finished I played it AGAIN but on BFG edition for the achievement of playing it on Ultra-Violence. I was so proud of myself... TL;DR: played it 3 times total and ranking up in difficulty each time for first shooter game
Hello neighbors. Thank you very much for the walkthroughs, BMD. Lots of fun and very instructive/helpful. I accidentally found an interesting solution for the crowded room with the plasma rifle. I mistakedly backed out through the teleporter to the previous chamber and all the enemies were nice enough to follow me through it. They came through the teleporter one at a time with made dispatching them a very simple thing. Hopefully this tweak will be of use to somebody playing this level in time. Thanks again, Ф
To me, the even numbered episodes are ones the give me the creeps, and the odd numbered episodes are, to me, the breather episodes on this one. Not sure why.

AKA you are completely WRONG. There is no such thing as any console being "better" than another. Just because the newest console is more "powerful" in terms of how much it can do and how much graphics it can process, DOES NOT automatically translate to it being "better" in every way. EVERY single console ever made has thousands of exclusive experiences that can only be had on that system. Every single console ever made is equally good and has equal value and should all be treated equally by everyone and every system has thousands exclusive experiences and reasons to own and play ALL of them. Everybody should desire to own and play every game on every system because that's how you get the full gaming experience. Nobody should ever lose interest in a game or a console just because time has passed and no other reason. Nobody should ever stop caring about these unique amazing experiences and stories and characters and world and environments and artwork just because time has passed and no other reason. Future people born hundreds and thousands of years later should desire and love and enjoy these experiences just as much as people did when they were new. Age doesn't somehow magically make games worse. Stop acting like it. Stop acting like these games and consoles should be forgotten and never used or thought about by anyone ever again. You are a bad if you think old things are bad. Time should have no effect on people's desire to experience these games and time will never change how great these systems and all the games on them are. No matter what year it is, no matter how many more new systems come out, everybody should ALWAYS desire to get the full gaming experience and experience all of them ever made equally like I do. I like to go through the first teleporter first. Alert the demons on the other side. Go back through the teleporter again and wait for the demons to go through and pick them off one by one.
What I like about this map is the different difficulties as in Lost Soul would be here as your 1st intro in Episode 2. Where'as Ultra-Violence here introduce Cacodemon's instead therefore Sweetness is born! It was a fun map. 😄
I would like to know what is better, Quake or Doom? and which has been the best final boss of Doom ??? I never had the happiness to fight against the Spider Mastermind :(
Except for E1M1, I actually don't like any of the other starting maps of Ultimate Doom because they are confusing (this one particularly when I first came across the teleporters) and there is very low ammo available in them. And it goes much worse if you take this map, then E3M1 and E4M1... I always struggle to start these episodes and try to find a strategy to save ammo. Got to know recently about the beserk real usage thanks to BigMacDavis, it helps a lot to punch out enemies after you get it.
Does anyone know where I can download a mod/wad for the ultimate doom that isn't shareware? So it'll have all 3 episodes and not just the first one. Thanks!
Buy on Steam, go to the game files, copy DOOM.WAD somewhere and run with your source port of choice. You can pirate it, but I'm not going to tell you how to do that
I know, it's weird. I was just being sarcastic and thinking about how you were going to handle the Episode 2 maps. Trust me, I don't really care for Episode 2 much myself.
"Cacodemon" is also a 7th level magic-user spell in 1st edition AD&D (not sure if the spell is in other editions). it allows the player to summon a few different types of demons to serve them under threat of being tortured and traped.
Unko Toire I know this is 2 years old but I think the lore says you die and then go to hell but get kicked out of hell since you proved to hard for hell to handle

In last episode u said u did not die, but I think all of the zombies in that room did kill you and your soul went to the shores of hell, and exactly what the narrator said, the only way out, is through
If you're fast enough, you can kill all monsters in that final room with a rocket launcher. The room has a special damaging floor which hurts you even when you're invulnerable and ends the level when your health is low.
@@xyzzy-dv6te The rocket launcher causes a lot of splash damage, making this quite hard IMO. With cheats, I discovered that there are like 4 demons, 5 imps and 6 sergeants (shotgunners). But, with 200/200 health and light amp cheat, I was barely able to take out all using 4 rockets, with about 23 health remaining.
