I learnt a lot while recording this episode in terms of how to record in ways that is better engaging to the viewers with less 'Umms' & 'Ahhs' and I will try to implement these methods in my upcoming Vid's/Posts
I Currently have 600+ Hours of in-game Space Engineers play, weather if I'm building and testing my designs or actually playing a survival game, in saying that I play when I can, around work (Chef) and my 2 y/o Son. :)
I have HUGE plans for the future of this channel but I am still learning how to Edit Videos and Audio but I'm a fast learner and I'm picking it up well...
Any Comments and suggestions will be promptly replied and or applied in my videos... THX HEAPS :)

you are a drone expert you give the easiest description to learn i still having problems but getting there i am 60 yrs old with MND so my memory not good but gradually learning drones

With the auto mining rig couldn't you just use a beacon so that the drone always follows the rig waypoints? I've seen it done with fighters that are able to redock even when the base ship has moved.

Have tried and tested that but either way the waypoints will need to be manually placed by your player eventually at some point anyways ✌️

Surly you know, but just in case ;) It's possible to "reverse" mechanics with different speeds with single* trigger source (sensor/ec/timer): decrease(or increase) speed + reverse. I used it in "1 timer dumb infinite tunneler". May be useful to reduce number door sensors to one for example. Also, have you tried to use beacons + relative waypoints for drones? May it be possible to elliminate setting GPSes for cargo drones as a process at all? I was able to reuse beacon name for waypoints after cut/paste right away, probably could be used from welded blueprints without setup. Can we go even deeper (in terms of vanilla automation)? Autodeployable autonomous interplanetary production aka "base seed"; vanilla gray goo? I have more ideas, but not time to try them.

I do know about the sensors but the way I have them set up will allow the doors to open faster than they will close. I have that method active on the 1 entrance to the Drone HUB but the 2 doors to Exit the HUB need to have 2 seperate sensors as I didn't want to use the sensor ranger Extender Mod... more base vanilla less mods & scripts. I'm also in need of using the AI Recorder block since it uses waypoints and not GPS's... Waypoints allow the Drone to travel from 1 to another in a direct straight line where using GPS's will make the Drone fly in a high arc to get to the next GPS which won't work as well with the tunnels (i did already set up and trigger a drone that used GPS's in a previous episode if your interested to see the difference 🤔✌️😇)

@@ShArPy1o1Games Sorry, my bad. I wrote "GPS" but meant recorder waypoints. My rocket was able to find and use RTB waypoints tied to the beacon to land, after I moved base few hundred meters via cut&paste. So I think it should be possible to preset relative waypoints into blueprint.

Either way, when using a beacon tied to the recorder etc. it will still need a waypoint or gps to be placed manually with your player... so overall same same 🤔

Have just tested many methods, and what you describe using the Beacons dont work in terms of being able to send the drone directly to the connector using this method ✌️😇

another great vid one thing is with my drone it took 45 mins to get to my cobalt mine did not land right then triggered its rtb Timer but never made it back it just disappeared now i am wondering is there a limit to how far it can go as on the way there i used my jetpack to follow it but left it to fly back on its own i have x10 h2 mod on and modded hydo tanks that hold more but remain small would it be better for me to use basic ai then use the ai move to land at each dock ?

That may have something to do with your Worlds clean up settings... the AI move block just allows settings like speed to be adjusted... the AI Basic block allows the placement of GPS's etc ✌️

im thinking about getting back into se and grabbing the dlcs, but i havnt played in so long the forum i used to use doesnt exist anymore. since you are doing a drone heavy play can you do a guide for how to make a drone that auto collects probes? a script for this is one thing id really miss.

What do you mean auto collects probes? What are those? 😂 I do have a mine collecter Drone that's on the Workshop that may be what your after 🤔✌️

@@ShArPy1o1Games maybe they got removed now, since it looks like there are loads on npcs? used to be little satellites that spawn in with a signal. you click a button on them for random tools/'stuff' or just recycle them. anyway, i got a script to put on a drone that would go out grab them and bring them back so i didnt have to chase them myself.

Oh yes the Unknown Signals... I already have an Unknown signal retrieval Drone already available on the Workshop ✌️ Also check out my Save Worlds I have available as they have the same Drones but with the AI blocks installed (I uploaded the world instead of individually uploading each modified Drone ✌️)

Same here... I'm really happy with how I envisioned it since Episode 1... Just hoping Klang doesnt pay me a visit with the space elevator and with all the new grids and ships etc there will be after adding more to the HUB plus building and adding more to a Space HUB in the near future 🤓😎

I'm so glad that it helped as I've always enjoyed not only explaining something but also showing them at the same time, if I am able to upload those designs for others to use 1st hand and learn better/faster/easier than I will always be more then happy to oblige... I've always been a hands-on learning, and sharing my experiences is the main reason for starting YT ✌️
