Its nice to have an updated tutorial of drones. Yeah many old videos are working too, but now with the new update and other things, an updated version is so nice to have.
No probs... can't wait to get more vanilla Automation into it... but I think I may change the look of the Drone before starting the next episode or I may even make Ep 2 exactly that?
I got to be honest. I am working on a series, and i just gave up on my drone, I am going to give it another crack after watching this, but the sorter i guess only pushes through a connector once the connector is full? Mine did not seem to ever push through the connector.
Might be easier to put the sorter on your drill Outpost or on your home bases connector for the Drones... cleans it up a bit and is less confusing... Better yet, use your Drone as Cargo storage and allow your refineries to automatically grab ore as needed from the Drones cargo itself? 🤔✌️ Let me know how you go and how you got it to work, I'm curious to find out what u found easiest 😇😇😇
I'm struggling with this because I'm making a drone that runs on rails. It has two connectors and somehow I can't get it to do anything past Loading at Drill. It will get to the second point, load, unlock, but won't RTB. The AI blocks are on so...I'm not sure. I'm betting on user error because I refuse to believe something is wrong with the video since it works here. Back to the drawing board I suppose. EDIT: Could it be because I'm on rails it doesn't know it just needs to turn on reverse? I would think it would know it doesn't need to turn around. The RTB block says it's trying to get to Waypoint one but, never moves.
Precision mode must be ON and collision avoidance must be OFF at all times... also only 1 AI recorder/Basic block can only be on/active at one time... (turn 1 AI block off to turn the other on but the AI Move block must be on during its whole flight, as i use 2 recorder blocks, 1 for drill docking and another 1 for base docking...) Hope this works or helps ✌️
@@ShArPy1o1Games I'm going with the remote block route but it's ... a mess. The reason it wasn't working before with the AI recorder, is it wanted to turn the train around and needed gyros.
Might be good to use the Remote Block but change its direction from forwards to backwards... pretty sure that would work as the new AI block etc. don't have that feature
