Just two good ol' boys Never meanin' no harm Beat all you never saw, been in trouble with the law since the day they was born Straight'nin' the curve, Flat'nin' the hills. Someday the moutain might get 'em, but the law never will. Makin' their way, The only way they know how, That's just a little bit more than the law will allow. Just two good ol' boys, Wouldn't change if they could, Fightin' the system like a true modern day Robin Hood..
"Hi I'm Scott Newnam the CEO of Audio Advice"... he's an absolute legend and I hope he continues to open all his videos with that line. Well done to Audio Advice for all their gains throughout the years, many of it while being helmed by Scott! Great seeing many of you all at Audio Advice Live '24!
Great multi-use theater room. The whole home must also be great. Dedicated home theater is a great idea. Bummer, that there is so many people/families that don't have a dedicated home.
Superb video. Love seeing you guys together. Audio Advice worked with me on my system and I got this same level of design for a much less expensive system from their online team who supports DIY like me. Michael, I love your videos. You and Scott together is so much fun to watch. Keep it coming!
It was interesting to see an AMAZING home theater room built into a wider multipurpose room, and the unique solutions used to work around that situation. Beautiful work! Talk about a fun room to watch The Big Game 🏈 or F1 race🏎️ in!
I am very impressed with the way this room has been laid out , the projector housed in the lighting over the pool table and It is not in the path of any interference of any heads that is mind blowing and well designed. The speaker layout is great but I would think that using a set of wides would make up for the rear surrounds giving it a 7.5.4 . But the whole design is really awesome and the price of the sound system is very expensive compared to most of us and can it be done with a budget layout. But overall the design and build is really good and thanks Youthman for sharing this with us.
Just want to say thanks for introducing us to such good and informative people in the av industry. From ryan and jonathan to kat and scott etc. We need scott to open a store on the west coast.
So much attention to detail, I especially love how Nobody gets a good seat in order to stop all the arguments about who's sitting dead centre of the movie screen... Only joking 🤣😂
Oh awesome, the projector is hidden in the pool table light, that's a new one! What an awesome room, I enjoyed the heck out of this one! Scott seems like a dude who's still very passionate about sound and overall functionality. What a cool guy 😎
I have a Samsung Q990C dolby atmos surround system and I can barely turn it up past 20 before the bass and the atmos blows me out of my dedicated projector theater room. This guy has 5 Subs lmao in a room not much bigger than my main space. I can't even imagine the sound I mean what even is that 😅😅
I love that they ran the bypass for the PS5--now that is brilliant. Nice work on the video. More collabs from you guys would be great. I designed my room with the Audio Advice tool and it turned out great. I am always tweaking my system and love videos like this one where I can get great ideas for my room.
Awesome room .... A QUESTION for Youthman ... if you were moving into a new home would you want a multi-entertainment room like that or would you still want a dedicated Theater room?
Cool room. Wonder why not an ALR screen for this room. The Strato V would be so much more appealing if they let you browse your library on the device/screen instead of your phone...
There's listeners and there's listeners. Someone who's got all this is unlikely to be distracted from direct and indirect (first reflections) audio anyway. To be able to pick out the difference, unless one has musical ears, like a musician or something, one really has to be a bit of a couch potato, and something tells me the owner is anything other 😊
Great video Michael 🙌. Great content for you and good promo for Audio Advice. Interesting to see another persons vision of the perfect home theater room. Curious of the sound. Looks like there are a lot of hard surfaces and glass. Man, I miss my home theater. Why did I have to get targeted. 😢😩 God bless.
I love this but got the impression from this video like "show me a non dedicated theater room but make it cost 3x more than a dedicated theater room". This design and layout is amazing but my guess is this cost substantially more for all these customizations. That being said, I would love to have a space like this for entertaining. It's absolutely amazing.
Hey Michael, I do have a dedicated HT, but at the same time, I don’t have the square footage that he has, especially the funds. Come on Michael, let’s talk for the average consumer with a budget, let’s say 50K. That guys budget is way more than what I can afford. As always though, great content
So because the average person can’t afford this it shouldn’t be covered? Maybe he should cover theatre spaces well below what you would be interested in because there will be people that think your budget is absurdly out of range. Thanks for covering this space Michael. Not something I would be putting together for myself but it was great to see how this one was put together and how its unique challenges were solved.
Watched until the end. My goodness me! Now I know what I want to do with all my lottery winnings! So far no luck . . . but you can’t win if you don’t have a ticket!!!🥳🥳🧐
That’s a lot of electronics in that cabinet - all I could think about was how would you change a cable and how they dissipate the heat. We didn’t see the amps for the B&Ws, did we? Hugely impressive room.
So hello, i have a pioneer vsx-lx53 (old version, if there has been made allredy a newer one, i did this in case if there happened to be confusion) , i wanted to only listen to music, so i need some form of audio in, question here is in wich place ( DVD in, TV/SAT in, VIDEO in, DVR/BDR out/in, etc.) do i plug the rca to aux cable in?
What I want to really understand is, how do you manage bass with the seating position so far from the back and side (right side) walls? Is 6 15s the only real answer? I lived in two homes with a similar set up, Two VERY powerful 12 inch subs and Arc genesis room correction. No matter what I did with sub placements, could I actually produce proper bass without any nulls in some part of frequency in the primary seating position. Drove me crazy.
Do you know what would have set this room over the TOP? The Theater seats if they had wheels you could have position them around the POOL table during a POOL Tournament. Of course you could just wheel the chairs over from the card table to the POOL table but the Theater chairs would be so much better for a POOL Tournament it would be just as cool as watching a movie.
What about the ventilation to the projector as it is installed in an enclosure which is also housing the billiards spot lights and they also produce lots of heat!
