I heard one of these first-gen crossplanes with the Toce system coming through downtown Denver, and legitimately thought there was a VERY aggressive V8 doing a fly-by! I was very surprised to see a motorcycle ride past making that sound lol These videos just dont do justice to the sound these things make!

*OMG,* just the paint job alone on the first R1 looks sick, and those flames… lol. In my opinion *TOCE* looks the best on R1's, and that one @ 5:45 I believe looked extra sick with them flames spitting out. Hopefully my bike will do that when I dyno her. Great video👍

I had the voodoo exhaust on mine. I had to push my bike to the park near my house to start it. I still got noise complaints. I do recommend it. With a helmet on its orgasmic riding.

This IS MY FAVOURITE R1 EVER WITH THE CROSS PLANE, IF IT HAD THE NEW R1 TECHNOLOGY, IMAGINE WHAT A GREAT BIKE IT WOULD BE, IT WOULD BE INSANE. BUT THE ORIGINAL ONE IS BEAUTIFUL AND INSANE ENOUGH AS IT IS, JUST A MASTERPIECE OF A BIKE

I have a first gen R1, only has 14,000km on it, (8600 miles) and its absolutely MINT. But the time has come to let it go, an injury to my back means riding it for longer that 15 minutes is too painful, I'll replace it with an MT-10SP i think.

In my opinion, Toce is the best system for Crossplanes and the second best is not even in this video. Its Austin Racing GP1R. Both of these exhausts give an orgasmic feel to the ear 🔥

Graves stood out to me. I love arrow myself but the only arrow clip totally sucked. He did the exact same rev over and over again. Didn't get to hear it idle at all. I sure don't think bouncing off the rev limiter in neutral is a very good thing to do

The toce exhaust at 5:37 is from a yamaha r1 pre 2009. Those bikes are flat inline 4 cylinder. The r1 from 2009 and up are crossplane 4 cylinder which changes up the firing order thus creating a totally different and unique sound.

I feel like the cross-plane only sounds cool at high RPMs; it sounds like an angry 2 stroke motocross bike. But at low RPMs it has that choppy ninja 250 sound. I like the normal inline 4 sound because you know it's a sport bike.

I'm with you. to me they both keep cloest to the signature sound of the r1 but at the same time giving more of a deeper yet aggressive sound at the same time. the rest just felt like drifted too far away from the signature r1 sound.

+JDM World I've heard a few r1s with that exhaust here in thailand. sounds so good. then also when yamaha put it on their r1m bike factory to me that is was the selling point for me for best exhaust. I mean why would they put that exhaust on it factory unless they knew what they where doing for performance and sound both. don't yamaha use akropovic for their m1 bike too?

JDM World this may be a stupid question, but I like the toce exhaust location but don't like the sound, I like the triumph Daytona instead of the R1 but could you still mount an exhaust in that location for any or most bikes? (Like the triumph Daytona 675r?)

No mechanic ever: I recommend reving your engine in neutral until you hit the rev limiter. If there was anyone in this video that didn't over rev their engine I didn't notice them. My attention was drawn toward the absolute idiots that did. Reving your engine while it's not under load at all is
