As a US Navy Veteran, I wanna thank you folks for giving so much reverence to the flag. Even though I'm not in the country right now, I feel way more American outside of America than I did when I was in it, and it's allowed me to really embrace that side of myself. I know things are rocky right now, but I'm sure we'll get though it; we always have.

I'm a retired U.S. Army bandsman, and I served as an Army cook during my first enlistment. I like the fact that Kent doesn't do raisins in his cinnamon rolls (neither do I) and that he does do jalapeno peppers (as do I) in much of what he cooks. Greetings, Brother Kent! I meant to add that we've bought your first book and have used your sourdough starter. Not sure that I agree with it for biscuits (too sweet), but I fully understand the need for speed, the lack of refrigeration while on the trail, and the fact you're feeding dozens of cowboys. Gotta keep that chow going! An amazing amount of work in austere conditions and you make it look easy. But I know it ain't easy. Blessings to you both.

When you took up that basting brush and mentioned painting, my thoughts went instantly to Bob Ross and his big paint brush. It was then that I realized I enjoy your videos in the same way that I enjoyed his when I was a child. You share an authentic feeling kindness, an engagement with the audience, and a love for animals and this beautiful country. But I think most of all I see the love for what you are doing and the joy you take in sharing it with others! There is very little in common vocally, or physically, or in what is produced, or in the methods, or in the setting.... but there is the same spirit of love toward the viewer. Thank you!

This is a great recipe. My father flew off an aircraft carrier and performed missions over Japan in WWII. My brother served on a destroyer escort.
