Fab decking. Why did nt you just build the deck & false floor 1st then the drawers etc.. you would have maybe made it more acceptable for building the rest of the project! 🏴👏🏻 so talented van maker🏴🏴
Hey mate! Just wanted to say thanks so much for creating such a comprehensive guide, the fact you take us through the steps from start to finish and even supply links to products you've used is phenomenal! Especially considering you've made it all available for free. P.S. Was just wondering what brand of sliders you used for the pull-out deck? I know you mention in this video that it's got about 180kg capacity but all the sliders I've seen at Bunnings max out at around 90kgs, did you order them from a specialist online? Cheers in advance!
Might want to rethink the framework for the slides I'm just saying your screws are going to blow out eventually thank you your van is the best one I've ever seen and you have mad skills
Thanks, I really just wanted to avoid having to have an extra step involved for pulling it out and using it. It would need to be somewhat adjustable and theres another step right there too. Pretty happy and confident in the weight it can hold.
You two are fantastic van builders I’m blown away by what you’ve achieved big thumbs up from a fan in the UK 🇬🇧 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I was waiting to see how that shower works and how the water doesn’t get into the slides. I used similar slides for my pull-out kitchen in my minivan and it is pretty sensitive to corrosion. I am very curious what solution you have for that.
I designed it so I didn't have to. The slides are more than capable for supporting the weight we intend to put on there. Obviously not planning on have a party at the back there haha!
Have been enjoying all of your van build clips. Have picked up a lot of useful tips from you. I have to tell you , you are a very clever young man. Have seen you faced with a lot of challenging problems and you have worked out a way to overcome it. Very professional. you would put a lot of tradesmen to shame.
Awesome, thank you! Comments like this really make all these videos worth the effort. Thank you for taking the time to watch them! Hope they help you in some way too!

@@saltyvanventures All good. Hope you're not stuck in lockdown unable to travel - we've just managed to sneak out of VIC for 2 weeks in NT but now on the way back to more weeks of restrictions. Hope you guys are managing to enjoy the awesome van!!
Great video! We’ve taken a couple ideas for our transit camper build. Love how y’all have seats inside of the van. We went that way as well, and love every bit of it! Not sure why more transit campers don’t have them.
So impressed with your elegant solutions to these puzzles, like when you said you would put a false plywood floor over the runners I was like "unless you put some ribs on and waste space, them shits gonna sag my man" and then you go "cantilever strips" like it was obvious. Interested to hear if you are getting much use out of the rear deck. Seems like an over engineered solution to me, but use your same genius design for a couple of slide out bench seats that don't even need fold down legs or whatever and that would be ideal imo.
haha thank you! we do use the deck occasionally but not as much as I had anticipated. It's great if we want to eat outside and the ground it wet for example. Maybe next time i might skip on the deck and save a bit of weight in the rear.
We have pretty much maxed it out. We go a new tare weight a few months ago and it left us with about 600kg to spare so with 2 people, fuel and water and everything we travel with it is pretty much at 3550kg GVM
