If you like live bands and a secret local bar in Bangkok a friend of mine owns "Black Cabin Bar". The vibe there is so cool. If you need me to connect let me know. She is Thai that lived in Australia and also works from Universal Records in Bangkok.
Funny fact I have been to Bangkok many times, however I have never been to rooftop, nightclubs and in general I just remembered that I have been in one of Pattaya's hotel Novotel rooftop restaurants it was eerily quiet. This video made me want to travel to Thailand again and rediscover Bangkok.Hopefully next year it might happen and gonna watch next video about rentals in Bangkok. This channel has great vibe, somehow fancy, yet having intrinsic value to viewer.Amelie has been wonderful guest and i can't believe no one is inviting her on dates anymore.Charming video, this is now my favorite podcast on RU-vid.Because it is real pure and authentic.Actually that does remind of my channel vision, unfortunately not so many vids, but in future will be.I am more active on Tiktok with Thai viewers, still no one could beat such podcast of yours,Eric. This year has been very challenging and I couldn't visit Thailand like usually.Normally I do visit every year since 2017-2022.Only this year I am in absence.I think I would like to start with fancy rooftop bars then I do know how to compare.Pastel and all other mentioned spots are all unique and must visit at least once.Silom is best for locals and Escape with Flamenco.
I had a fun time at Joe’s Whisper, Silom. Very local. I was the only westerner there. Can the Thai’s ever throw down and party. The girls were buying bottles and getting hammered, the place was moving, everyone was standing at their tables singing and dancing - singing back to the band these Journey-esk songs. For being 61, the young gals I met were just kind, friendly, sweet and sociable.
re: beautiful Pastel... if those prices are considered expensive I'm in. those prices are on par with restaurants like Bahama Breeze in FL (a small chain with good food; not high end in the least). IOW average prices where I'm from
It’s expensive relative to many restaurants here but I still think it’s a good value considering the quality, ambience, and location. But many people just want to eat 100 baht chicken and rice so 🤷♂️
@@OneNightinBangkok_ Relative , yes. I only go to Bahama Breeze a few times a year, as I probably will with Pastel when I move to Bangkok. It's a beautiful place to eat and if the food is good...
It was funny about hidden bar, it happened exactly the same with me when I was trying to go to Rabbit hole (also in Thonglor), very small (quite dark) but cozy check it out.
Jammed packed with loads of great ideas. As a frequent visitor, the rooftops are always a must for me (mostly dinners) so this video was great! I’ve been to most of the well known ones but your insight on some more local venues is super valuable.
Another fantastic podcast! Very stylish, informative, and fun. Coming to Thailand in February and really appreciate all of the insight into spots and culture🙏
Might be good to cover Ekamai and On Nut- especially as Amelie is in On Nut area- she may have better local knowledge. I only Know Chill Out on On Nut Rd- closest to my Accomodation
Great video - but surprised like the other comment that Spectrum at Hyatt Regency didn’t get a mention. That’s my go to spot before a night out on soi 11. Staying at the hotel might influence that a little, but still a great spot
