since when is an octagon squarish? Also you are comparing super ideal diamonds to a regular ideal princess cut, not quite equivalent

My girlfriend loves princess cut but the best diamonds I have access to is cushion.

Show her this video. She may decide the risk of breakage at the corners isn't worth the risk of a princess cut. Or you may decide on a pendant, which isn't going to get the hard wear that a ring does. In any case, discuss it with her.

I like the cushion cut, but you can not beat the round diamond I would like to buy some for a men ring but do not know how to contact you to buy some stones
