So much more is needed on the Ninja to shoot anamorphic comfortably :( Please allow custom desqueeze between 0.5x (!) and 3x. Also allow custom screen cropping, resize to full screen and custom zoom. Also allow to rotate and mirror the screen in any direction (at the moment these options are present but limited). Please make sure all of these advanced options can be used simultaneously.

Atomos is missing custom desqueeze. Until then it’s not perfect. 1.5x is cool but if I’m running 1.6x I’m losing something even if it’s not much. Please fix this. SmallHD did it. 🤷♂️

Custom desqueeze is needed - as is the ability to zoom in to better utilize the available space on the monitor. We struggle to shoot our very nice 1.6 anamorphics on the ninja v. Desqueeze on the output would be the icing on the cake.

Is there any way to capture full sensor of sony a7s III? Maybe in still mode? And since Sony send 16:9 via HDMI to Ninja V(without +), even when I've got desqueeze on the monitor - it shows to much of unused space at the corners. An if I apply 2:39.1 preview scope - it shows exactly what I need but in very small area at center of the screen, left the rest of the screen unused. Is there anything can be solved to work around this question? And maybe add force anamorphic mode for 16:9 sensors?
Few month ago get new Ninja V6K, still no usable anamorphic mode. When recording raw and enable 2,35 crop marks actual image is even smaller, to small to work with it. 2024.... Atomos still didn't hear about Sony users... ...Some of them actually shoot a Hollywood movie called "Creator"...

We I can't use my tools because my monitor blinks on and off. Why ? Because the backplate came off on the first use . Imagine spending thousands of dollars on a Ninja V+ Pro kit that I haven't used for a year :(

The reason why your files recorded on Atomos are not 3328x2596, but 3840x2160, Note that Atomos does not have any features that can upscale or downscale the resolution or aspect ratio of the video signal. The Atomos display and records the exact same thing that is set to the camera's HDMI output. If your camera is outputting 3840x2160 resolution, then that is the resolution that will be recorded by Atomos. The difference in aspect ratio between 4:3 and 16:9 may be due to your camera's settings or the aspect ratio of the sensor. And the Ninja V is still struggling with with desqueezing and showing scopes simultaneously. Hey Atomos. This isn’t working since years. Why is it still not possible yet?
Hi Marcell Nix, Thanks for your comment! We are just here to confirm that when you activate Anamorphic Mode, most monitoring tools such as Waveforms and Vector scopes are disabled. This is due to a number of factors, the most significant of which is the processing that is applied to the original image when it is desqueezed. We have forwarded your request for Vectorscopes and Waveforms to be enabled in Anamorphic mode to our engineers, who will see if it's possible to implement in a future firmware release. Yeah so how the hell are you not going to include a 9-grid on the 5" Shinobi... beyond easy and basic feature to add--competitors at half of your price include it--not to mention it's essential for film composition... But I guess its not surprising considering the Shinobi has had firmware issues over an entire year... Don't worry, I'll just add marker tic-tac-toe to my $300 monitor: quick fix. Kind of a slap in the face to your consumers. 1 year? Really?

You should make sure you support your existing customers and buggy software first before adding more gimmicks. After spending thousands on your products and the poor support received and lack of meaningful software updates I will never buy your products again.
