Making pizza and garlic bread at home is generally more cost-effective than ordering out or buying pre-made versions. Here are some key points:
Ingredient Costs: Basic ingredients for both dishes-flour, yeast, water, oil, garlic, and cheese-are relatively inexpensive, especially when bought in bulk.

Ingredients
For the Dough (Common for Both):
All-purpose flour (maida): 6 cups (750 g)
Sugar: 3 tsp
Salt: 3 tsp
Instant yeast: 6 tsp
Olive oil or butter: 3 tbsp (or 12 tsp / approx. 60 g)
Warm water: 2¼ cups (560 ml) (adjust as needed)

Milk powder: 3 tbsp (24 g)
For the Pizza Sauce (Homemade):
Tomatoes: 4-5, coarsely crushed
Onions: 2, finely chopped
Garlic cloves: 8-10, crushed
Basil leaves: 8-10
Tomato puree: ½ cup
Salt: to taste
Oregano: 1 tsp
Chili flakes: 1 tsp
Olive oil: 1 tbsp
Or use 1½ cups store-bought pizza sauce.
Toppings:
Shredded mozzarella cheese: 1 cup
Optional toppings: bell peppers, onions, olives, jalapeños, paneer cubes, corn, mushrooms, or your choice
For the Stuffed Garlic Bread:
Butter (softened): 1 tbsp
Garlic cloves: 3-4 (finely chopped) or ½ tsp garlic powder
Mixed Italian herbs or oregano: 1 tsp
Mozzarella cheese (for stuffing): ½ cup
Sweet corn: 2 tbsp (optional)
Jalapeños and olives: (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Dough:
In a bowl, mix sugar and yeast with lukewarm water. Let it proof for 10 minutes.
Gradually add the warm water mixture to the flour until it comes together.
Add salt and butter (or olive oil), and knead for 8-10 minutes until the dough is soft and elastic (aim for at least 15 minutes).
Cover and let it rest in a warm place for 2-3 hours, or until the dough doubles in size.
2. Making the Stuffed Garlic Bread:
Preheat the oven to 200°C (390°F).
Take ⅓ of the dough and roll it out into a circle or rectangle.
In a small bowl, mix softened butter, chopped garlic (or garlic powder), and herbs.
Spread the garlic butter mixture over the rolled dough.
On one half of the dough, sprinkle mozzarella cheese, corn, and parsley (if using).
Fold the dough over to cover the stuffing, creating a semi-circle. Press the edges to seal and make slits on top for venting.
Brush with more garlic butter and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and crisp.
3. Making the Pizza:
Preheat the oven to 220°C (425°F).
Roll out the remaining dough into two pizza bases (about 10-12 inches).
Spread pizza sauce evenly over each base.
Add cheese slices if desired, then top with your chosen toppings and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese.
Transfer the pizzas to a preheated baking sheet or pizza stone.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, checking after 10 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
Remove, cut into slices, and serve hot.
