Places to eat at in Mumbai: *1. Elco Pani puri - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)* - One of the best Pani puris in town. Very clean & hygienic. They use bottled mineral water to make these. So very safe to eat Pani Puris at this place. *2. Sardar Pav Bhaaji - (area - Tardeo in Mumbai)* - The best and the most buttery Paav Bhaaji on Planet Earth. *3. Bade Miyan - Late night place - is open till 3 am or so (area - near Taj hotel & the Gate way of India in Mumbai)* A late night place, patrons eat in their cars, but has a seating area as well. Famous for their wraps, Tikkas, Tandooris & barbecued stuff. *4. Leopold Cafe (area - Colaba causeway in Mumbai)* - Nice beer, barbecues, nice desserts. *5. Pancham Puriwala - (area - fort in Mumbai)* - 5 types of puris(bread), savory dishes & desserts. *6. Persian Darbar - (area - Bandra west in Mumbai)* Famous for their Raan Biryani. Delicious Mughlai cuisine. You'll love it. *7. Mahesh Lunch home - (area - Juhu Tara road in Mumbai)* Heaven for Sea food lovers. Very clean & hygienic and you can get the most iconic sea food dishes here. *8. Mini Punjab's Lake side - (area Powai in Mumbai)* Need to call and book a thaali(platter) in advance. Famous for its Dara Singh Thaali - available in both veg & non-veg versions. A must try. *9. Britannia & co. restaurant - (area - Ballard estate, Fort in Mumbai)* Famous for its Irani / Parsi cuisine. Awesome Desserts & Sodas. *10. Anand Stall - (Vile Parle west in Mumbai)* A fast food joint famous for its awesome Vada Paav, Sandwiches & Dosas. *11. Mohammed Ali road - (Area - CST - 6 pm onwards till late night)* The whole street is filled with street vendors who sell various non-vegetarian stuff and some vegetarian too. Plus, there are some really nice restaurants on the same street. Try the famous dessert that you get only on this street in a sweet shop. The dessert is called Aflatoon.

The best place to have Pav bhaaji is at Sardar Paav Bhaji - which is located at Tardeo, Bombay central, in Mumbai. They have 2 varieties, the Normal Amul Butter Pav Bhaaji and the second one I think is the Black Pav bhaaji. Just check out the pavs(bread) they serve there. They are completely different and Real Authentic pavs. Those pavs are aunthentic Portugese pavs that the Portugese introduced in Goa & Mumbai. They are much softer, less dense, much more fluffy and go extremely well with Amul Butter. Also, the bhaaji is a typical Maharashtrian vegetable slurry preparation with typical Maharashtrian Garam Masala spices.

Not the Iranian that you see today. These people are the original Zoroastrian community from Iran who took refuge in India after the islamic brutal invasion. Rest of them who didn't flee, got killed or converted. This particular bakery restaurant is more than 150 years old now. The Railway station building was built as a residential palace for the british invaders queen. Then later it was transformed into a railway station. All these stone architecture in the Fort were built by Bharatiya (Indian) artisans like she said. All the art was done in the nearby place which is today known as JJ School of arts. One of the world's best art colleges for artists (where I studied as well).

5:29 Fun fact: Parsi diary farm milk chocolate toffee are the best. They are made with fresh milk gooey chewy and sweet. Yummy 😋 the taste of the toffee from 90s is still vivid.

You must try Mumbai's Pani Puri. Ask your Indian friend and she will feed you Pani Puri. I also live in Mumbai, in Worli.

The Parsi community are Zoarashtrians from Iran who sought refuge in India from religious persecution centuries ago. A famous Parsi you may know is Freddie Mercury... front man of the band Queen.

30:20 If something is very hot like food or drink, it is trick to increase its surface area to cool it quickly, like poring tea on plate or even dishes like dal lentils or butter paneer or khichdi, as eating hot might burn tongue ..... or you can wait also so it cools naturally in cup itself

Pouring the tea on the saucer helps cool it down. Slurping sips loudly helps aerate it and cool it further. Same thing with pouring filter coffee back and forth between two tumblers from a height. Beverages in India are served piping hot and need to be cooled down a bit before drinking.
