Watched the entire video, thinking of upgrading my 2k so i was watching the how-to. I had a few AFGs hanging around from my ARs and that was the first thing i added before even discovering you guys.... love that AFG... Not sure i want to drill into the stock, i'm not a carpenter... or change the rear sight... internals, charging handle, cheek pad.... send em over!

I bought all of these upgrades, but I forgot a few and placed a separate order. They recognized the email and combined the order and refunded me the money for the second shipping payment. Then they emailed me the day after everything was delivered to ask if everything made it and there weren't any defects. I love this company. The parts are really well made too.

@@selectsovereigntydefendlib9884 Went very well! And all the upgrades made it much easier to shoot. I spent the extra time to polish more than they suggested, if it was metal on metal, it got polished. It's definitely got a cult like following, people love or hate it.

@@Cadsbury i got all the internals only to realize my trigger return spring wasnt in the bag. Wasnt sure if it fell out when I opened it so just ordered a new one. Minorly frusturating. Do you know if you can polish using a power drill?
@Cadsbury
@Cadsbury 4 года назад
Select Sovereignty *Defend Liberty* Man, that sucks, sorry. There are some small parts in those bags, they do ship quickly, so there’s a positive. Sure you can use a drill, might be a little cumbersome on the smaller parts, just take your time. I spent a couple of evenings after work to just polish pieces, but I did go overboard. It’s a great backpack gun now!

Watched the whole thing and really appreciate when companies take the time to go through things in detail. It helps those that like to tinker and DIY, but also helps those of us understand the scope of the work if we buy it direct from y'all to appreciate the effort that goes into it. I plan to reach out to y'all directly to buy one already assembled and ready to rock and roll soon.

I bought a KEL-TEC on the advice of a good friend - he said it makes a great Bug-Out bag addition, and he was right. I purchased a new Kel-Tec Sub 2000. Immediately purchased all the M*CARBO replacement parts. Watched the video while waiting for the parts to arrive. Then watched the video during the tear down. Even though I am expereinced in AR-15 armoring, it's always kinda scary when you take apart a new gun, like when you separate the grip sections, and stuff "springs" out at you, or just becomes untensioned ! This video is superb, every single take apart, and re-assembly issue is noted, and addressed. From my experience: After polishing the barrel end, I used a barrel cleaner, and it took alot of cleaning to get the inside of the barrel with a mirrored finish. It was superbly dirty from the factory. This whole project is one of these, "Since you have it all apart, you might as well , , ," And that is correct. You have got the gun stripped down to parts, you might as well polish (and lube) all metal to metal contact points. The amount of polish and felt polishing tips are well used if you do the entire inside of the gun. Well worth the time, all the action, and safety and trigger are "warm butter" smooth. The bolt and the recoil weight were fairly scratched, and grooved for a new gun. This is because there are sharp edges inside the butt stock tube/action tube. I used both fine emory cloth, and a fingernail sander to smooth out each internal opening/cut-out area, and I did not change the shape or remove a lot of metal, just smoothing the inner edges. Had to use 400 wet/dry on the recoil weight because the scratches were so deep. After cleaning up the recoil weight with sandpaper, I then proceeded to polish out the areas of concern. I did not polish the entire weight, just about the top three inches and the bottom edge - again anything where there was metal to metal contact, was polished. Compared to the video (and I realize the video is a couple of years old), my flat trigger did not come with a "spacer" and nor was one needed. Also the muzzle brake can with a concave spacer, but not a nut, and not a wrench. When I polished the end of the barrel, I masked off the end, and ran a towel around the entire thing so that I did not have to "clean off" all the plastic parts when I was finished that job. The integrated, tool-less locking pin was a challenge - but only because it's hard to compress the recoil spring with your bare hands! Put on your Mechanicx gloves and you are good to go ! The KEl-TEC hand grip (trigger side of gun) opens into 2 halves. Where it meets (the seam), has a little extra plastic flash leaving a sharp edge - after all the internals were removed, I put the halves together and used the emory board (fingernail file type), to shave that excess plastic away from the grip area, and make it smooth. This will assist the grip installation by allowing the grip material to lie flat across the gun's seams. The M*CARBO parts are super high quality (unlike the rest of the gun). The website worked great, my parts arrived in a timely manner, and all the instruction vids are excellent. Nice to work on a project with a FULL VIDEO to reference, instead of some of the more limited videos of other manufacturers. Great addition to my bug-out bag, and I thank everyone a M*CARBO for doing a great job on this KEL-TEC SUB 2000 Thanks Again !!

Made it through the entire video. In all honesty, I was watching a video on the Ruger 357 GP 100 last night and dozed off. I woke up to your video in the pre dawn. Sometimes it’s the best way for me to sleep and not have nightmares. I’m sorry, I guess I deployed one or two too many times so I find it soothing to sleep listening to intricate reviews or technical 2A builds. Thank you for your video. I woke up alive and without a nightmare.

Thanks from a retired armorer! Made it through even though I have installed a few of your products such as trigger kit and aluminum trigger. Unfortunately my arthritis has gotten so bad that my days of small work are done:( I am thinking of sending my g2 in for the full treatment and switching over to the flat trigger as I think it would work better for me. Great job Chris!

My brother, it's 2024 and I bought the steel ramp, and steel pins/bolts. I put it off for the longest time cause this is probably one of the more intimidating firearms I ever saw. I've worked on sigs, berettas, 1911s, m&ps, etc., but this one intimidated me for some reason. I bought the muzzle break, heavy charging handle, rubber cover, butt pad and those were pretty easy, but I put off the ramp and pins/bolts off for about a year. I finally followed your video step by step and after messing up a couple times, I finally got the confidence to disassemble and assemble it. Repetition is a great teacher, ha! I may even install the rest of the MCARBO kit myself like the trigger, trigger guard/fold lever, etc now that I know how the firearm works, but ill still reference this video in a pinch. Thanks for this highly detailed video!

Waiting for the upgraded latch, grips, and recoilless charging handle to arrive. Ran a couple hundred rounds through the S2K earlier this week. Cannot wait to try it out now. The videos posted on M-CARBOs website are amazing. I imagine Chris gets a little negative feedback from the videos, but anyone who has a problem with any of it needs to lighten up. Watched it snap-to-tail. As a former instructor, I give you an excellent rating. Not just for the very detailed explanations, but also for the "insider tips" based on your personal hands-on experience. I've had a Sub-2000 for over a year now & can't wait to do all that you did in this video. I love Keltec's innovations & affordable price points, and M-Carbo's engineering, designs & enthusiasm. One question I comment about the m-lok handrail\guard: inserting those rubber strips to protect hands from barrel heat will also block educe barrel cooling by restricting airflow & radiant heat discharge. Any feedback if this actually happens & potentially can be an issue with high volume shooting? Thank you.

Thanks. Excellent work with the camera, edits, and explanations. I'd have never gotten through it by guessing at some of the crucial parts. Nearly lost the sear spring across the room but I got lucky just before giving up after 30 minutes. A trick I used for trimming the bolt tube cover was to pull it onto a 3/4" pvc pipe and trace the line by pressing an exacto blade into it. I hope the thing stays in place though, I'm one of the weirdos that likes my buttstock on the #3 setting. So, after about four hours of doing the trigger kit, feed ramp polishing, bolt tube cover, muzzle device, two-finger charging handle, and RDL, I think I'm happy with it. Test fire next weekend.

was initially thinking about an AR7 Survival rifle to carry in my vehicle, also on trips into the outdoors where it might be a good idea to have a rifle that can fit in a small backpack. I carry a Glock 43X it would be great to have a same caliber rifle to keep from carrying other ammo. I wasn't impressed with the Sub 2000 gen 1...But, the Gen 2 is a different beast. With your upgrades, I have to say. No AR7 for me. With the current price point on the Sub 2000 at my preferred gun shop, and your upgrade kit, the initial price makes getting an optic doable. Absolutely love the video, I have saved it as I now plan on getting the Sub 2000 as well as your upgrade kit. That you took the time to make such an informative video says a lot about the character of your company. Why a plastic feed ramp? The one on my PMR30 was melted after 3 range trips. I put in a stainless steel one. Will do the same for the S2K and trigger job.

Watched it to the end and really enjoyed all the work done to make such an informative video. Currently waiting for all parts to arrive for my Sub2000 so I can do my upgrades. Replacing springs, trigger and trigger guard, trigger bar and hammer bushing. Also ordered the stainless steel feed ramp! Wishing I had ordered everything in one order, so I could get them all at the same time! Should have all upgrades installed before end of Feb 2024.

New to MCARBO: Happy Shooting! Just so you know I made it all they way through the 2+ hour video!! I'm brand new to your channel. I found your channel because I was researching why my recent inherited P-30 was jamming with with the magazine. Not new to guns, but I have a new spark & passion for shooting. My dad unexpectedly passed away 2 years ago and left behind a few Kel-Tech firearms. Since then, I've taken up shooting and looks like I'll start collecting my own as well. I am so very satisfied and pleased with your level of detail and not glossing over things a newbie might miss. I appreciate your delivery and thoroughness. I will be ordering my Sub-2000 very soon. If you have any recommendations for my first purchase from MCARBO, I'm all ears.

Watched the whole thing but I do admit I FFed through the parts I already installed or have no intention of putting on. This was a fantastic video for the detail and closeup shots. Thanks for making a pretty cool weapon into an awesome tool!

When installing my full kit I watched the old video, and I didn't understand the correct orientation the hammer spring was supposed to go in when installing the new one. Just went shooting today and roughly half my rounds wouldn't fire.. Looking at the primer on each round you could tell the firing pin wasn't hitting very hard. I opened everything up and it looks like I had the new hammer spring on incorrectly (the broken corner was facing up, not down). I went ahead and just put the stock spring back on (this time in the correct orientation) as I figure the extra tension will help prevent misfires by having the firing pin hit just that much harder. Still have not tested it out to see if it's fixed, though. Either way, I should have watched this video instead of the old one! Regardless, I appreciate MCarbo going to all the detail in this video. They're really good guys and I'm glad they have all these upgrades for this gun. Thanks guys!

Yeah, watched the whole thing. Life long gun addict. Been watching the Sub 2000 for a while, but when I saw the MCarbo Sub 2000, that put me over the top. I ordered one. Still questioning my choise of the curved trigger. Gonna call the folks at MCarbo to get the low down on the advantages of each style trigger. Can't wait to get my hands on it & waste a couple thousand rounds at the range!

Curved vs flat is 90% personal preference but flat triggers offer more consistency if you either require it or don't have proper form in muscle memory.

If your SUB2K has the CA grip fin, you may have difficulty getting the grip screws out. One side comes out, and the other is stuck in the threaded sleeve. Try putting a larger Allen wrench in the hole, one just big enough to fit. Push down on the firearm to press the Allen wrench against the bench while removing the stuck screw from the side facing up. I hope this helps.

Still deciding if I want the CQB or just the standard Sub2000. The video was great to help me decide on which rifle and which upgrades. Will probably do my own installs. Looks like fun.

Like now you have all the mods together, added polishing on the trigger and sear was great, now I see I have to some polishing to do when I do the hammer bushing. I saved it as I know at least one new Sub 2K owner that will want my help, Also great for a full cleaning to help you put it back together, I watched it all just as refresher, Great Job Chris

I made it. Thanks for putting the time in. I have all the internal upgrades and some of the external. I am using Sig p320 magazines. Struggling with stovepipes on the last round. Do you have any upgrades for that problem? Maybe something for the magazines. Different Follower or spring?
