I don't think Chris encountered Nemesis ever. He would view Nemmy as just another monster out for his blood. Jill was seriously hunted down by Nem through an entire game, so obviously she would be annoyed by him.

I didn't like playing as Venom in MvC2 but I would have loved to have him in MvC3 for the sheer novelty of these two being able to duke it out.

Yes and no. Resident Evil 2 and 3 happen at the same time in a few of the same places... It just so happens Jill somehow totally misses half the Police Station, thus never encountering anybody there. Except for Brad. Who you see in Nemesis' hand. Who is, yes, the super zombie. Confusing, no?

I think it's a little clear that Slenderman borrowed some ideas from Nemesis. Both are incredibly tall humanoid creatures who don't speak much, and use tentacles to kill their victims in some cases.
