Every year since 2016 I have come back to listen to this phenomenal recording. I like it so much I downloaded it to my phone many years ago and I always listen to it there, so I decided I would come to RU-vid and write a comment about how much I appreciate this recording. Thank you sir.
Hey, I play the tenor horn in Whitburn band if you want to check it out but anyway. I think you are amazingly talented! Blew my mind! Thanks for inspiring so many people ever day. Defiantly subscribing!
I played a bunch of halloween themed music for my marching show way back in my freshman year of high school, and listening to "This is Halloween" brings back a lot of memories, and especially the end of the song, we (low brass) had to really blast that part because we had less than 10 people in total against like 40 or 50 high brass/woodwinds. I loved this video a lot. You're awesome.
Usually when people freak out over a low note on a bass bone it's only a pedal G at the lowest. I really appreciate that he shows the (near) limits of true skill. (without fake tones that is)
I tried to get a bass trombone, but the company our school gets the instruments from has none and every music store in the area has no idea what they are
Wonderful arrangement, sometime you should do an arrangement of Franz Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. It is a very well known piece, but somewhat complicated, but I feel you could pull it off. If you could do that that would be great, but otherwise, great video.
Welcome to the Nightmare Before Christmas. Now you can never LEAVE! Bwa-ha-ha! Great stuff as always. Nice to see the bass trombone get more attention than usual. Now on to the NEXT experiment. Bwa-ha-ha! (Sorry, I played a mad scientist at a haunted house on Halloween and I'm not over it yet).
sounded really epic. and thank you again fir the tipp with the braces, got mine since Tuesday and played today. Its still so difficult to reach higher notes with braces :( but still thank you and keep going :D

XD A medley is a bunch of songs mixed together. An overture is the opening of an opera or suite, which sets up the melodies of the pieces yet to come (but not necessarily in the same key or even exactly the same as they appear later.) So in a way an overture is a medley, but a medley is not an overture! The biggest difference here is this piece was written by Danny Elfman, and he can call it whatever he wants!
Bill your really good my father is also really good and can you send me the music sheets for trombone so i can see if my dad can play them!? And are trumpets also able to play NMBC toocause i play trumpet.
My father is an enthusiastic sweetheart and he just put this video on his laptop to let me listen to it, then he opens it on my laptop while reading out the funny comments. Can you reply something to this so he can read it out for me? :P would be funny
I really just want to say I enjoy alot of your videos and all the amount of time that goes into them, being a young trombonist it's really cool to hear all the amazing things, love you bill
