They both sound really good! The TF has a little more of a “delicate” sound to me....not as quite as thick sounding. Love to listen to your playing! Thanks for sharing! ✌🏻🎶🎸🙏🏻

One of my friends gave me a Lovepedal Eternity Fuse, it changed the way I think about tones and drive. Through a JCM 900 Master Volume III Marshall 50w it really helps evrything sing. Great content and insight.

I use a Tone City DP Durple, which I quite like a lot! Sometimes i mix in a jam tube dreamer. I like more and more less distortion and more clarity but still some bass P.S I love that you reminded us that we can turn a guitar pedal down. Not just up. Very fun and educational video

Ideal is for a solid gain across full sound spectrum this will sound more balanced than mid range boost ,, However a good player will still sound good either way. Much enjoy listening 😊 Thank You

@@TomoFujitaMusic : When a player uses pedals he has some gain but also loss ,,, loss of real finesse & expression from both hands ,,,, it is a compromise which is not healthy. The longer you use pedals the more you are tied to them as they shape how you play. It is a position of diminishing return

Beautiful playing Tomo. I can only hear a very slight difference (which I think is more treble) in your Jan Ray compared to the regular Jan Ray. I'm getting my regular (for mortals?) Jan Ray shipped to me from SENNAN-SHI Japan. Cheers!

Also, have you tried the Vemuram Shanks ODS-1? It has a lot of bottom end, but it also has sweet top end. What’s your feeling on that pedal versus the Jan Ray? Thanks for your beautiful playing and wisdom!

Your ear is quite sensitive which makes the delicate sound of the TF much more to your liking. A lot of guitar players would prefer something more pronounced like the original Jan Ray. Thank you for the demo and insight to your sound.

It’s totally different. My signature has more sparkle top end and less bottom. The mids are so mild.

As many can tell, Jan Ray is technically Vemuram take of Timmy design-wise, the reason why it sounds different from the original is that it's voiced the way you always hit the sweet spots so you can never get a bad sound out of it. But personally it cannot justify the price difference... Nice playing still!

how i wish i could afford Janray for TF but here in メルカリ it cost 10万! i live in Kagawa and music stores here doesn't have vemuram on their shelves. and too broke for a janray TF. 😅 i wonder if you can get close by stacking janray with GE7?

Anyone that reads this I got a Q... how do you deal with everyone including your parents advising you to quit your interests ? Like for me it’s guitar and audio engineering . But I feel like the advice I get is just quit already and find a new hobby. People just don’t get that these things make me happy . Thanks ! Once I gave up my guitar playing... then I went to regular college for one year... I worked hard, studied jazz guitar for two years, then I got my scholarship from Berklee so all I needed to have living expensive so I just told my parents. They just surprised but they supported me mentally. Thank you! Hard work, with a great preparation. It will take 1-2 years to accomplish this task.

Awesome! I am playing similar tone... it's really different! If it's so similar then no sense to make my signature model! The Jan Ray for TF is so clear and thick tone! I love it.

the standard vemuran janray is very expensive in malaysia pricing at MYR1700. Average income for malaysian MYR 3k-5k. LOL

I can't stop laughing, oh , that cheese cake so good, Not too much fruit cream & marshmallow 100mm deep on top, cashews & nuts, 😃 , I'm just old drummer with ok ear, the best I ever played with could reproduce any effects in 2 attempts, he blew my mind with the best ear, After 2+ years rock,blues,soul,Rbilly lessons he was prodigy, studied classical for mum 7+yr then ask bro if ok to sit in with our Grajband, & we plug in spare guitar 🤯 everything this 17 yr old shown & heard he master, So, l miss him 26yr now, But you promote ear training, all pedals are mystery to me, sustain, reverb, tone & wah, great, but when you play acoustic I just go to heaven , maybe little cry, Plain cheesecake
