I loved watching you all travel around PEI. I have lived here all my life and grew up in Georgetown. That yellow house that was behind your wife and son was my childhood home, so I spent all my time at that beach swimming. It was an amazing spot to grow up. Thanks for sharing the beauty of this Island, and I am happy you guys enjoyed it!
If you ever come back to PEI visit the western end of end of the Island. Beautiful beaches, good food, Stompin Tom Center and much more. Friendly people! Enjoy your adventures 😊
A lot of people do kite surfing on PEI. It is my home province. Basin Head is beautiful and also has “Singing Sands” where it squeaks when you walk on it.
Great video! I’ve been going to PEI every year since I was a kid and have never been to the basin head beach/hike but now I cannot wait to go check it out!!! Although fall is beautiful too bad you weren’t here in the summertime where you could enjoy the beaches a little more and actually get to swim…October is not our best beach weather!!, lol. Wish you guys would have stopped and spent some time exploring my home of Cape Breton Island. If you love beautiful hikes and scenery you missed out on a gem! Maybe next time!! Love your videos and baby Wyatt is so sweet!!
Cool beach. Looks like a great place to explore. Very outdoorsy place. Lots to keep you busy. Great video and still waiting for that baby to make some noise. Cutie pie.
I have usually heard it said that the southern shores of PEI are some of the warmest north of the Carolinas--you should have checked the waters--many times water is warmer in fall than it was all summer. Sorry you missed some of the other great beaches on East Coast route. May be ones only locals are aware of. So happy to see you enjoying PEI.
Great video! I grew up on PEI. I have to say my favorite part of this video was you trying to pronounce Cav en dish. And I say that in a very admirable way. 💕
As an island resident, you did a great job. We live on the water near the confederation bridge. Your alternate pronunciation for Cavendish was the correct one. You hit the most popular beaches but there are a lot of great options. Many Provincial parks/beaches are closed in October. The south shore beaches have red sand but the water is warmer. It's a great place but winters can be harsh (So don't everyone move here 😉)
It’s actually due to the Gulf Stream of tropical water coming in the Northumberland straight . Not the shallow water. Also the warmest water is in Shediac area of NB. Great video. Nice family😀
I live a km from Basin Head Beach. Our front windows look over the ocean and we can see the museum from our house. Awesome! By the way it’s pronounced Grenich not Greenich
Also worth noting is that all the train tracks were removed as there’s no more trains here and made into trails for walking, biking etc. They go from one end of the island to the other end.
You represented PEI very well, it’s probably my favourite place to vacation. So relaxing with lots of activities if you choose. Can’t wait to see next week surfing the boring tide oops I mean tidal bore.
Beautiful trip! No Anne???? If you want to surf and see absolutely world class beaches then you need to go to Iles de la Madeleine. The 7 hour ferry leaves from Souris, PEI.
Tour de PEI Beaches... 👍 Always stunned how few "tourists" take advantage of the offseason... I guess that is what makes us street-smart "travelers"... 🤔 One advantage of pasta/sauce for dinner... leftovers are always good, if not better, the next day! 👍 I just watched on "outrageous" 5 minute free-style ski ⛷ video on RU-vid... Amazing Air... Great Cinematography... A must see... here is the link: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-fbqHK8i-HdA.html I am not sure our partners necessarily approve of our "on-snow" aggressive styles from the top of the mountain on down... But it comes with us.... we are a package deal... 🤣 Adios y Buena Suerte
