Here’s some fun knowledge for you! The rainbow has 7 colors because Newton (who was the first to create the 7 color system) wanted the number to match the number of musical notes in the major scale. Indigo actually doesn’t exist. Newton made it up to match the number of musical notes. The blue in Newton’s rainbow is a sky blue, where indigo is a moderate to deep blue. Currently, most portrayals of the rainbow remove indigo.

Well actually what he considered as Indigo is really Blue and it does exists (but with the corrected name ofcourse) also there is an additional hue of blue present which is today known as Cyan (but he called it blue) So there are 7 colours in rainbow still. Newton does said that he is poor in distinguishing colours and apparently naming them too. Newton's Indigo - Blue Newton's Blue - Cyan

If you have ever worked retail you learn it there as well. When you put clothes up, you are supposed to ROY G BIV them. Of course that goes out the window once someone starts placing items back in random places.

When I was in school we learned how to remember the colours of the rainbow 🌈 with this: R: Richard/Red O: Of/Orange Y: York/Yellow G: Gave/Green B: Battle/Blue I: In/Indigo V: Vain/Violet That’s how I always remember what order they go in it is so easy to remember 😂

I remember the rainbow by using a song “ red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet too” and that’s how I remember it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Now that I'm done with university for the semester and I'm in quarantine along with everyone else, I'm finally making an ultimate chocolate cake with Italian merangue buttercream icing. The cake is baked and chilled in my fridge overnight. I had to wait until today to get ahold of my mom and borrow her candy thermometer so today I make the buttercream and ice the cake! So excited!
