Maybe in the future cover the edge with either a sheet of aluminum foil or and pieces of gumpaste and peel off when done.overall it was a beautiful cake as always
The terrazzo cream probably would have worked fine with a few changes. I have a terrazzo floor. You need to put WAAAAAYYYY more broken up pieces on the acetate sheet so they are much closer together. Then put the other frosting layer over them. Then, after you put it on the cake, you put the WHOLE cake back in the cooking cabinet before you take off the acetate sheet. Make it nice and cool, then the sheet will peel off nicely. If it's still not as smooth as you want, use specifically a Viva paper towel because it doesn't have any patterns embossed in it. These small changes would absolutely have accomplished your vision of the terrazzo effect on the cake. Have fun. We sure do when we watch the videos. 😉😉
I've loved watching your videos for years, since the watermelon cake. Curious though, why didn't you just ice the cake with brown sugar butter cream, then stick the terrazo pieces into it?
Your coffee-flavored cakes are my favorite!!! The Cake Au Lait from almost a decade ago is what made me subscribe. The buttercream always looks so dreamy, but extra concentrated this time?! 🤌🏿🍴
